Another "loudness war" disaster,
By
This review is from: Fetenhits: Schlager, Vol. 2 (Audio CD)
I'm starting to wonder where European audio engineers got their certifications, as it seems that the majority of European discs I've bought in the past years have been plagued by the infamous "loudness war" (Google the expression if you don't know what it means). On this particular set, the audio levels on the tracks I've analyzed do fit within the CD format limits, so there is no clipping, but the tracks are mastered so loud that the music is very uncomfortable to listen to. Avoid.
