Fever part 1,
This review is from: Fever (Audio CD)
1- Your Betrayel, this song opens the album with a thunderous drum beat and great first riff.
2- Fever, this song opens with a very fast heavy metal riff a classic BFMV song 3- The Last Fight, The only song off the album to be made int a music video ... so far 4- A Place Where you belong, this song starts with a classical acoustical bullet riff with a bit of screamo at the start. 5- Pleasure and Pain, One of the Heaviest songs on the album . 6- Alone, a great song sounds opens with a riff ,but then goes into a techcnical metal duet riff this is a great song. 7- Breaking out Breaking Down, what a song its my favorite off the album, this song is bullet for my valentine. 8- Bittersweet memories, the lightest song on the album in terms of screamo and heavy metal guitar riffs 9- Dignity, a brilliant song 10-Begging for mercy, is definetely the heaviest song on the album. 11-Pretty on the outside, is a brilliant end to this album . My only problem with this is- NEW album will be released -FEVER deluxe edition with 5 songs added that will be better than half this release. Not cynical,it's what they've done with every album. I like this one,but am getting tired of 2 versions of every album.

An impressive departure,

First, I have to say that I was expecting this departure from BFMV. In an interview, Matt Tuck had stated that Fever would be an album made more for the band itself than for the fans and upon listening to the entire album, I can understand why. Typical BFMV fans will miss the aggressiveness displayed on The Poison and Scream, Aim, Fire, but true BFMV (and true fans of great music, for that matter) will most definitely enjoy this release for its uniqueness. Many of the songs are more personal and possess more of a mainstream feel, but for BFMV this is not a bad thing. If there is one band out there that can mix metal and the mainstream appeal of more catchy hard rock tunes together with superior skill its BFMV. And that is exactly what you will find on their latest album, plenty of catchy and memorable tunes that are equal parts hard rock and metal as compared to previous releases that were 75 percent metal blended with 25 percent hard rock. I would say that this release demonstrates Bullet's musical diversity and shows us that they are not afraid to try something new, and if you are one of those individuals that always expects more of the same on every release from a band, then this is not an album for such closed-mindedness.

great album, from a always great band,
This review is from: Fever [+Digital Booklet] (MP3 Download)
First off, anyone to say this album "Fever" is no good, can't possible have good taste in music. Ive actually liked BFMV more since I bought this album. This album might not be as "heavy" as their past albums in some peoples opinions, but to me it is just as heavy, and it is a more polished with perfectly written lyrics and music, mainly the music. From start to finish this album rocks even with the lighter songs on the album, which start out accousticly and end up rocking through the chourus with loud guitars. "Your Betrayal" is one of the best over all rock songs I've ever heard, and its intro is badass, so good i think it's better than Metallicas' "Enter Sandman" intro. I know a lot of people will argue that opinion with me, but thats ok, we are all entitled to our opinions.
