Watch Out Madonna!, February 16, 2003
This review is from: Fever (Audio CD)
If "Light Years" was a comeback, then "Fever" cements sexy Kylie's status as the new Queen of pop! Kylie has already had countless hits under her belt in the UK and Australia, where frenzied fans of hers are aplenty. But with "Fever", she has even managed to crack the hostile American market. Everyone is already fimiliar with the smash singles "Can't Get you out of my head", "In your eyes", "Love at first sight" (this hidden gem is easily the best song of her career) and "Come into my world". But don't miss the other tracks, the whole album is replete with consistently catchy electro pop, dance and disco tunes. The amazing thing is how irresistable her brand of disposable pop is! The repackaged version includes remixes which equal or even better the original versions! "Can't get blue monday out of my head", "Love at first sight" (US Ruff and Jam Radio Edit) and the fantastically sexy Fisherspooner mix of "Come into my world" make this repackaged edition of "Fever" a must-get even for those who have purchased the original version earlier. This album will definitely satisfy old Kylie fans and bring her a whole legion of new ones. It's time for the wannabes (Britney Spears and co.) to step aside and let Kylie show you how its done!

Fever + Bonus, December 30, 2002
This review is from: Fever (Audio CD)
This is a new version of Kylie Minogue's smash album FEVER. It features the same 12 tracks from the original CD, with a bonus CD with rare songs and remixes. FEVER is a strong album of dance songs. It opens with "More More More", an addictive dance number. Then is the smash single "Love At First Sight", which is one of my favorite on the set. "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" was a smash single all around the world with its addictive chorus. "Fever" is my favorite song on the album, it has an addictive beat, it should have been a single. "Fragile" is the closest thing to a ballad on the album, its another highlight. Other highlights include "Give It To Me", "Burning Up", and "In Your Eyes". The bonus CD includes "Can't Get Blue Monday Out of My Head", which has become its own classic. The "Come Into My World" (Fischerspooner Mix) betters the original, its worth the price alone just for this remix. I also enjoy the Ruff & Jam US Radio Mix of "Love At First Sight". There's also a dub mix of "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and "In Your Eyes", as well as a rare track titled "Whenever You Feel Like It". Overall its worth the price for the bonus CD, especially if you are a hardcore fan and enjoys Kylie's remixes.

Fevermania!, January 4, 2003
This review is from: Fever (Audio CD)
Fever was one of the best pop dance disco of the past year and in a while. Kylie took her time to emerge victorious with Light Years in 2000 but even then that record cannot match the panche of this album! Containing the right grooves and enough hi enegry tailored for the dancefloor, this is dance pop at its very best! The revised version appends a second CD of remixes to the original which also has a newly recorded version of Come Into My World, the curent single. While this is admittedly a cash-milking exercise, it is a good one for the bonus CD is really worth the price of the 2CDs. There's the trance club mix of In our Eyes by the famous Roger Sanchez, the excellent Scrumfrog and Fischerspooner remixes for Love AT First Sight and Come Into My World respectively and the Blue Monday-infused mix of Can't Get You Out Of My Head which has now become a classic. Get this before it runs out in stores!
