This review is from: A Few Marines (Paperback)
In his book A Few Marines, Wes Hammond deftly combines his copious personal recollections with sound historical research to create an absorbing and entertaining examination of those who served in, and shaped, the United States Marine Corps during the last century.
Humorous, gripping, often heartbreaking, this collection of literary sketches reveals the essence of the Corps Hammond knew and loved; chronicled with affection, candor, and a faithfulness plucked right from the Marine Corps motto. As a reader who enjoys historical anecdotes, I found A Few Marines to be a treasure trove of USMC lore; as a former Marine, it reminded me how proud I am to have earned the privilege of wearing the same uniform as such audacious, steadfast, and honor-bound predecessors.

"A Few Marines" is an interesting and fun read. It is unfortunate that the publisher did not proof read the Kindle version. It is full of typos. The content is Great! While it is fiction the author peaks your interest about historical fact which if you are one of "The Few" will cause you to do some research. Lots of fun. (except for the typos)
