I have been suffering from IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) for more than ten years. I have never been good about getting enough fiber in my diet, so my doctor suggested that I try a fiber supplement. I chose Fiber Choice sugar free because it looked like a good deal I had heard good things about it. It came in the mail two days ago and I tried it right away. I only took two tablets to start, since I didn't want to overload my system. I quickly started having horrible cramps, bloating, gas, diarrhea, and nausea. I was confused because I usually consume more than 10 grams of fiber on an average day, so it shouldn't have upset my digestion so much. Then, after a day and a half of misery, I had an epiphany; the tablets were sugar free and sweetened with sorbitol (which is a known IBS trigger). Considering all of the sweeteners they could have used, sorbitol just seems like a very poor choice on the manufacturer's part. Also, the amount of sorbitol in the tablets is excessive (it is the second ingredient and before corn starch). The tablets were very tasty, but I would not recommend the sugar free variety to anyone.

Good choice for fiber supplement,

I've tried my share of fiber supplements recently, as part of a healthier diet. Most adults need 25-30 gm fiber per day, and if you don't eat enough fruits and vegetables, it's hard to get that amount daily. I chose these tablets because I don't have to mess with measuring out powders or changing the taste of my juice/water.
Pros: The fiber is pre-measured - chew 2-4 tablets a day and you're on your way to getting enough of the daily recommended fiber. Taste is not bad. This includes three different flavors, and while the grape is a little tangy/sour for my preference, the other two are decent. This brand also includes the most fiber per serving, up to twice the amount per serving in other brands such as Benefiber. Cons: The inulin, where the fiber comes from, makes the tablets really stick in your teeth. It's a rather weird texture and occasionally makes me feel like I'm chewing on foil (hard to describe any other way), which is the reason for the 4- rather than 5-star rating. Overall though, still a good choice for fiber supplements. Getting this on Amazon and having a pack of two shipped to my door is very convenient, and even more cost-effective than buying it at my local Target.

A nutritious, convenient and healthy dietary product,

In an ideal world all of us would be getting many more servings of fruits and vegetables than we actually end up with, but since we don't live in an ideal world it is a smart thing to do to get supplements that help us achieve our nutritional goals. These chewable tablets have many advantages over more traditional powdered dietary fiber supplements. There is no messy mixing into drinks, which makes them convenient to use outside home. Furthermore, they actually taste pretty good so you don't have an instinctive aversion towards them. However, you have to be careful: these tablets are not meant to completely supplant all of your soluble fiber needs. You should still strive to make your meals as balanced as possible.
The only issue that I have with these tablets is that since they are sugar free they leave a bit of an uncomfortable taste in my mouth that I have come to associate with most products that use sugar substitute. Other than that, this is a very good product that will help you maintain a balanced diet.

under instructions from my doctor i dramatically increased the amount of calcium i was taking. My doctor also advised that I might want to take Fiber Choice as well. I had no problem with taste or with the number of taking the number of tablets sugguested. However I did not achieve the desired results. Instead I experienced had a lot of gas and was uncomfortably bloated on a regular basis (that was the only thing that was regular). I have stopped taking fiber choice, found an alternative solution and am much happier. Many people are happy with Fiber Choice--it was not right for me.

I've read that taking more fiber before you eat will stabilize your insulin.
If your insulin spikes (if you eat something with sugar) it will cause your body to store more body fat. Since I have made changes in my diet, I figured this would be a good addition. What is good about this product? They taste absolutely GREAT. I have to remind myself they aren't candy. I take one before all three major meals to keep my insulin in check. So far I've lost a few inches on my waist, due to proper diet. I think these are a good addition since most people don't get enough fiber. More fiber will help prevent colon cancer and a host of other ailments. More fiber is just a good thing all around. What was bad? Be VERY careful. If you're adding fiber, START SLOWLY. I started with two tablets before each meal and did I pay for it. Bloating, etc..........I won't go into details. Anyone reading this will probably already know what too much fiber your body isn't used to will do to you. EEEK!!!!!!! I cut it back to one tablet before each meal and my body seems to be tolerating this much better. As long as I keep losing fat I'll be happy. Fiber Choice comes..... Recommended.

My doctor prescribed fiber after I had a colonoscopy and my daughter recommended this product. Directions recommend eating 2 wafers twice daily, but they're kind of like potato chips to me -- I can't eat just two because they taste so good.Fiber Choice Fiber Supplement, Sugar-Free Assorted Fruit Chewable Tablets, 90-Count Bottles (Pack of 2)

This is the same as offered in retail stores for a better price! They have a good taste to them and come in different flavors. It doesn't seem like you are taking a fiber pill when you eat one. This is a better alternative to one you blend in liquid.

They do have a slight artificial flavor so if you don't like that you might not like these, but they do taste great and are a wonderful source of fiber
