1.0 out of 5 stars Annoying, April 16, 2001
By
Mark Pikas (Maryland, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fiberglass Repair and Construction Handbook (Paperback)
This will be short:

Have you ever seen one of those books that looks like it will have a lot of good info on how to do something, open the cover and realize that it's just a "this is nice stuff that you could do if you knew how, but I'm not going to tell you the details of how..." book? This is that book.

To add to that, it's outdated, and even though all the products introduced and shown were of one brand, they didn't even take a picture of them but instead someone drew a picture of the can sitting there...

2.0 out of 5 stars Unreadable, August 13, 2007

This book is nothing more than a series of unaddressed topics. They talk about many possible fiberglass repair situations but never quite get around to telling you how to fix them. Confusing photos. I know as much now as before I got this book. Ask a pint dealer or some old guy at Home Depot, you'll get better information.

4.0 out of 5 stars Must be imaginative..., December 19, 2002
By
SAUL ZEIGEN MUGR (Bogota, Cund. Colombia) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Fiberglass Repair and Construction Handbook (Paperback)
I agree that this book has serious problems with pictures and photos, because the drawings included are very poor so you cannot identify the difference between the different materials. But in my particular case, people in fiberglass materials stores understood what I was looking for (by the materials and fluids names) and at that moment theory and reality matched perfectly.
The amateur results that I was expecting (car speakers, small boxes) were achieved completely.
