If you get a hold of this CD and like it (which you will) then you have to take the time to catch Danny Michel live. With songs such as Coalmine (about the girl who broke into Brad Pitt's house), Whale of a tale (about a conversation in a bar) and Hartley, he radically changes what songs can be about and the way ideas are conveyed, and this can all be seen on his first two discs (the other is clear). Off his discs there is Danny Michel live. If you ever get the opportunity to catch his live show you'll be amazed at how Danny brings these songs to the stage. With just him and a guitar he uses effects and technology to completely shatter the idea of a solo artist. His shows are mind breakingly good, abolishing all parts of the nervous system. Whether it be on his discs or live, Danny finds a way to sing songs about emotional problems and the delusion of life while still keeping the shows and songs light and at times completely funny. Canada is well known for producing considerable talents in the arts and Danny Michel is fast becoming one more to add to national bragging rites.

this cd is absolutely fabulous. It was the first cd by danny michel that i bought... after that, i rounded out my collection with In The Belly Of A Whale and Clear. This collection of 14 tracks takes you on a musical journey you won't soon forget. You'll enjoy the cd even more if you have a clear mind... try sitting on a grassy hill and staring at the clouds, with nothing else on your mind. This cd will truly move you.
