Although the recommended age for this toy is 4 years old, I still bought it for my 3 year old. I thought my husband or I would end up building stuff for him anyways and to see something build from scratch would be interesting and a good learning experience for my toddler. But when we started building one of the many illustrated examples, both my husband and I were stumped. Many pieces simply didn't fit and other parts started breaking. If only the quality was much better and more durable, I'm sure the toy would be something worth passing down to my younger kids.
