I'm a 45 year old dad who loves FIDLAR. They play exuberant, rockin' punk. What are they exuberant about? Drugs, mostly. So if you're offended by drug references or foul language, I'd stay away. If you can take the drug talk with a grain of salt, and enjoy the rock without wanting to run off and get wasted, I say go for it.

The best of this is definitely five star material, however, I took off a star because I can't really stomach one song, whose title and chorus is derogatory to women. Also, a couple of the songs which they re-recorded from an earlier EP don't have the same energy and bite as the originals - look back to diydui for the better versions of Max Can't Surf and Wake Bake Skate.

And definitely check out their videos on YouTube - both the live stuff and the 'official' videos. Great, great stuff.

These guys do a good job of being a band. Sounds like a mix of New Bomb Turks, The Dwarves, and Circle Jerks. More of that please.

Rock and roll. Short sweet and to the point. Great guitar accompanied by fun lyrics. These guys seem to enjoy partying.

These guy are the real deal and are about to take over the entire universe.

At first listen, it's easy to dismiss them as just "punk." But a more refined ear can hear a variety of subtle rock influences woven throughout Fidlar's awesome sound: surf, pop, metal, country, swing and so on. But of course it simply rocks the way the purest rock songs always do: fun, catchy melodies about having a good time. And considering how so much modern rock can be loaded with spacey, post-modern, hipster irony and/or other artsy garbage, it's such a pleasure to hear some nonsense-free rock that even manages to sound cool and new. These dudes are not afraid of kicking butt.

If you're an LA skater-drunk like these bros, then this is mandatory listening for your nights in the city and days at the beach.

First of all this is a great rock/ punk album musicwise. The straddle the fences between rock, So Cal punk, and Bay area punk with a few other ideas thrown in. Very enjoyable. But I think their songs are so drug and alcohol anthemed that I think they are actually letting you know that it really is a waste of time to waste you life away on excess. I guess the message could be different depending on the person. Anyway, enjoy the energy they exude.

This band is filling a much needed gap in my music for the work place, noise/punk is really fun for those times when stuff has to get done. it also makes you feel like some kind of badass criminal when driving to "Cocaine" (thanks GTAV)
(disclaimer: don't listen to this music at the work place without headphones as it might get you in trouble and jeopardize your employment...seriously who thinks songs like Cocaine and Wake Bake Skate are workplace appropriate?!)

This band has given me a much needed renovated hope in life. I thought the literally spitted lyrics about getting wasted and not giving a s*** about life was a thing of the past. For those of us who are fond of indulging ourselves in mind-disturbing drugs, hard liquor and the other fine pleasures of life, they will make a lot of sense. You will ultimately be able to identify with all of them. Anyway, this album skillfully combines passionately heartfelt lyrics with hot melodies that automatically makes it one of the best ones around. As a person who extremely adores punk, to the point of listening to it for approximately 12 hours a day, I'd recommend this album to anyone interested in this genre. In all honesty, this band is the new face of modern punk.

At the end, I should say that the terapeutic effect this album had on me, made me love it and embrace it as an instant classic. I just hope this band keeps releasing new material because this type of music is very well needed.
