I've been using this saddle soap for 30+ years. There is none better.
A tip I learned from one of my employers to really shine up your tack - after cleaning it, put a very small amount of Lexol on a dry sponge and rub it vigorously on the bar of soap and polish the tack with it. Go heavy on the soap, light on the oil. Beautiful results.

Remember, never use too much water when cleaning tack.

A side benefit of this product for me, whose hands take a beating from the work and weather is that if used once a day to wash my hands, the skin stays supple and soft and no hangnails, cracks and such. I used to have to use lotions and bag balms and all manner of strange stuff, terrible smells and greasy skin just to keep the bleeding down. With this product I just wash my hands once at lunchtime and that's all it takes, even in the winter. I'd never make it as a hand model but after 25 years my hands have not turned into shoe leather and I'm not whiney'ing like a horse so it appears to be pretty safe for topical use. Takes a while for the hands to heal up but afterward they stay quite nice with no effort. I cut the bar in half and it last for months.
This is not an endorsement, recommendation, no kids, not at home, and your mileage may vary ....

I received a bar of Duravet brand saddle soap which smells strongly of pine scent. I am not very happy. I bought Feibings online because it is hard to find the brand where I live not because I wanted whatever the seller had in stock. Fiebings itself is great...no real odor and keeps leather well preserved. (It appears the Duravet brand is sold at a lower price of Feibings at most places so this is a bit of a bait and switch)

***Update
It took a couple of weeks but the company did finally send me the Fiebings along with a return label for the other soap. It's not the biggest issue in the world obviously but there was no explanation or apology given. I now have to drop off the pine soap at the UPS center which is really inconvenient. I appreciate the order correction but it still wasn't worth the hassle. I won't be ordering from this seller again.

I purchased this soap and some conditioner to clean and nourish my leather chaps. They get really dirty in the winter after riding in the mud and i like to give them a good clean in the summer.
I used a sponge and warm water and i rubbed it on the leather. I then rinsed and since they were really dirty i repeated the cleaning step.
I was surprise at how clean my chaps looked after! It's like they had never been used.
I then used the Golden Mink Oil to condition the leather, they're like new!
I highly recommend for all your leather goods.

I had no issues cleaning up two old leather jackets prior to applying leather protector. It cleaned the leather well, and seemed very gentle on the old leather which was dry and beginning to disintegrate around the cuffs and pocket edging.

Read about this product on a custom shoe makers website. Purchased it here at amazon. This soap is wonderful. It cleans very well but is not harsh or drying like many other products on the market.
