5.0 out of 5 stars Unforgettable, memory inducing plethora of musical poetry, February 15, 2007
By
This review is from: Fiel a la Vega (Audio CD)
Fiel A La Vega (Alfonso "Tito" Auger Vega - Vocals/Rythm Guitar, Ricky Laureano - Background Vocals/Lead Guitar, Victor "Papo" Roman - Percussion, Pedro Arraiza - Background Vocals/Drums, and Jorge Arraiza - Background Vocals/Bass) is a highly regarded, very successful Latin Rock band from Puerto Rico. Its music is latin-infused rock that preserves the member's roots, never forgetting where they came from or who they are. The lyrics are arranged in poetic syntax that mixed with the music, makes for a very interesting musical effort. The songs are a history each in its own right, for all Puerto Ricans to identify with and for the rest to know more about our culture and origins. This is especially true for those who are outside their country (like me). It makes you remember who you are, where you came from, and what you love about the island.

If you are a Puerto Rican and feel nostalgic, looking for something to connect you with your roots... and if you like Latin Rock, this is the CD for you. So much so, that I have purchased 3 copies of it as time goes by, because I wore them out or lost them while moving from place to place.

If you are not Puerto Rican but are curious as to how Latin Rock should sound, get this CD. It will bring memories of your own, while letting you know who we are and what we do.

5.0 out of 5 stars El Primero de Fiel A La Vega, June 3, 2005
This review is from: Fiel a la Vega (Audio CD)
