poetry delight, November 3, 2003
This review is from: A Field of Flowers: Poems and Essays from a Diplomat: Poems and Essays from a Diplomat's Journeys (Paperback)
The first poetry book, which is not only easy to read and highly interesting (how many people ever met a diplomat?), but fun!
Nothing of that complicated stuff where you try very hard to get the meaning - no, from views of places, most of us will never see (and in a quantity, which is simply unbeatable), to sensations, feelings, each of us goes through, which makes it all too human.
Situations, sometimes, no one would have spent a thought of.
Again, it's fun - call it a special treat, a poetry delight!
