5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding early research on American Indians, May 9, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Lost Field Notes of Franklin R. Johnston's Life and Work among the American Indians (Hardcover)
This is truly an outstanding book both in presentation and content. It gives a first hand look at American Indian culture and history. Franklin Johnston was one original contributors to the South West Indian museum, he is credited with many first discovers as well as being one of the few white men to have a personal relationship with several of the last great Chiefs. Many of the pictures in the book are published for the first time from his extensive archives making this a must for anyone interested in the American Indians.
