This review is from: The Field Guide to Weeds (Spiral-bound)
When I purchased this book I was looking for one that described most of the common weeds, gave their common names, and had pictures or drawings of each weed so I could identify them. This book does more than that. It covers around 94 of the common weeds in North America. Each weed in the book has it's scientific name, a list of the common names it is typically called, a photo of the flower or seed head, a drawing of the plant (very good artwork), and several paragraphs of information about the weed, along with it's origin, range, habitat, and season. It contains plants like: common blackberry, poison ivy, foxtail, wild vetch, ragweed, plantain, reedgrass, downy bromegrass, tansy, mullein, and some that aren't always considered weeds, such as perennial ryegrass and red clover. You can take this book and walk around outside and identify many of the wild plants you see. If you want a field guide to weeds, I think this is a very good one.
