About the Author

Cleveland P. Hickman Jr. has been conducting research on Galapagos marine life since 1989. He lives in Lexington, Virginia, where he is associated with Washington & Lee University.He received his doctorate in comparative physiology from the University of British Columbia. Yves Finet has been studying the marine molluscs of the Galapagos since 1982 and first visited the archipelago in 1984. A native of Belgium, he received his PhD in zoology from the University of Brussels. He is working at the Museum of Natural History of Geneva, Switzerland.
