Armed and animated, a motley crew is bound and determined to infiltrate your base. Control the field in Fieldrunners HD, a tower defense game optimized for your 7" Android tablet. Blowing up little helmeted soldiers, helicopters, and big, muscle-headed buffoons has never been so visually stunning--because now you can annihilate them in HD. HOO-rah!
Creatively Construct Your Defenses
Choose from seven towers, each with its own special weaponry, and unleash a medley of destruction. You'll start small, maybe with the Gatling Tower, and work your way up to the Mortar Tower, delivering ultimate destructive powers via the nuke.
With a bird's-eye view of your field, strategically place your towers where you believe they'll be most effective. Drag and drop them from the menu to your field. Replace a tower by tapping it and then selling it for cash.
Earn more points and more cash by preventing enemies from crossing the grassy field and infiltrating your base. Lose a life for each fieldrunner that penetrates your defenses.

Master a wide array of tactics and strategies to stand victorious against countless waves of unique land and air combatants. With over 400 levels across four unique battlefields, there's always a Fieldrunner to slay, a level to unlock, or an achievement to earn.
Three modes of gameplay will satiate your tower defense desires. Start with Classic--offered in Easy, Medium, or Hard. Two additional modes, Extended and Endless, can only be unlocked by beating Classic.
Hi-Def Graphics Make Destruction More Fun
Stunning graphics, sound effects, and background music enhance the already-addictive gameplay. The enemy maintains an undaunting and tenacious character, grunting and collapsing with each blow. It's just graphic enough to be amusing, but not gruesome enough to feel like you need a therapist.

PLEASE NOTE: FieldrunnersHD requires a 7" tablet running Android OS 2.2 or above, and must be downloaded via Wi-Fi. This app lets you purchase digital content using actual money. I really wish Amazon would make the terms of these giveaways clearer. Every day there are people giving apps low ratings because they were charged full price for it. As far as I can tell it is pretty simple; free app is announced at 12AM PST. It does not become free until 12:30AM PST. NOTICE IT IS PST - PACIFIC STANDARD TIME!
While I do agree with those who say we should have a choice between wifi/carrier network downloading, giving an app a low rating because of it is not cool. People want an opinion about the app not Amazon's service or lack thereof.
This game is as described. Very nice graphics. Runs smooth on my Droid X. It is quite challenging and long. Has lots of repay value. I am giving it four stars because it doesn't make use of the back button or menu button and had no exit option with the app menu. You are forced to tap the home button to escape. If you like tower defense games you should get this one!

I've been waiting for this for a long time.
Even better, is this one looks a lot crisper than the iPhone version.

First let me begin by saying that this game is actually pretty neat and fun. It's well worth the heavy download.
Now as for my subject, I hope for the love of anything sacred that amazon implements a device type filtering to the app store so that we dont have to read the daily moronic 1 star reviews because it wont run in devices that the developer clearly specified as being not supported. Please write amazon and let ask them for this feature. It will make this place better for both devs and us consumers.

Addicting and Good
I loved this game for a long time. It was really addicting. You could only download and update via WiFi, so that was annoying, but worth it.

Great tower defence
I like tower defense games. This one kept me busy for a long time. It has loads of different weapons and a good control scheme. I would recommend it.

No Quit option - have to shut down Kindle HD to exit
Seems the Kindle HD does not have a home button and you can't access Kindle menus while in FieldrunnersHD so not putting an exit selection in the Fieldrunners menu is pathetic.
