5.0 out of 5 stars Fields of Plenty!
Hard to believe this highly popular music of Corey's has never been reviewed until now. If you are Corey fan this one is a must. Very adult contemporary and some of his best work to date.

3.0 out of 5 stars The last album I got by Corey Hart.
"Fields Of Fire" #63, in 1986 was my last Corey Hart album. Three more hits here, but I only liked two and one album track. The ballad I really liked was "I Am By Your Side" #18, "Dancin' With My Mirror" #88 and Angry Young Man". This album again stumbled into MOR hogwash. **1/2 overall.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Can't Help Falling In Love "., February 17, 2010

Corey Hart delivers another solid release in this one, he is certainly talented but underrated. Solid tracks from this CD include, "I Am By Your Side", "Goin' Home", "Can't Help Falling In Love", "Is It Too Late?", "Jimmy Rae" and last but where the title comes from "Blind Faith". The cover song, "Can't Help Falling In Love" is my favourite version I ever heard so far & hence the title of my review. Production is solid and I "Can't Help Falling In Love" with this underrated canadian singer-songwriter that is Corey Hart!

4.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorites of all time..., August 21, 2009
This review is from: Fields Of Fire (Audio CD)
Wish I could give it 4.5 stars. I've worn out two cassettes (yes it is that old) and am looking to buy the cd. I truly believe Corey Hart was one of the most underappreciated artists of his time. He has a unique music style and voice.

In my opinion, "Blind Faith" is one of the best songs ever recorded by Corey Hart. Actually by anyone. That one and his remake of "Can't Help Falling In Love" give me goosebumps. Many of the songs including the title track are moody and thought provoking and quite different from "Sunglasses At Night." Though I love that one too.

Jimmy Rae is my second favorite song on the album. It has an exotic feel and a bit of a reggae beat to it. Of course he has his pop/dance tracks as well, such at "Dancin' With My Mirror," though I prefer his moodier pieces. I'm just a huge Corey Hart fan and recommend this album as possibly his best.

A lot of people forgot Corey Hart existed after "Sunglasses at Night." I was not one of those people. In fact, I wasn't really aware of Hart until "It Ain't Enough."
This was Hart's third album, and I think it's his best.
He pulls off an Elvis song "Can't Help Falling In Love" and the finale, "Blind Faith," if anyone is keeping score, cements his reputation as something more than a pretty-boy one-hit wonder.
Corey Hart faithful will tell you "Young Man Running" is his best album, but my money is on this one. There's depth and emotion pop stars aren't allowed to show in public nowadays.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jimmy Rae and Blind Faith, July 21, 2006
This review is from: Fields Of Fire (Audio CD)
I have the cassette version (how old is that?) about to buy the cd...so happy it's out now! In my opinion Jimmy Rae and Blind Faith are Hart's best songs ever...very soulful and timeless yet each induce a very different feeling. Reminiscent of Eurasian Eyes...unique and evocative.

5.0 out of 5 stars Including Cory's Version of Can't Help Falling In Love, May 27, 2006
This review is from: Fields Of Fire (Audio CD)
Cory Hart is one of my favorite Canadian Pop Star who made huge hits during 80s such as NEVER SURRENDER and CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE, originally an Elvis Presley song.

The album features that Elvis Presley cover as well as excellent songs such as I AM BY YOUR SIDE another huge hit from this album and DANCING IN MY MIRROR an uptempo rocker and TAKE MY HEART which should have been an huge hit. Album production and mixing is so great that you can find every track really enjoyable.

Verdict: Forgotten 80s masterpiece is available again.
Rating: 95 out of 100. Better than Boy In The Box. Probably best in his career.
Recommended for 80s power pop fans who love Outfield, Glass Tiger, Bryan Adams, Richard Marx and Survivor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Corey Hart Album, July 29, 2010

Yes, this album definitely surpasses Boy In The Box and First Offense. The production is outstanding. The songs are lyrical. Corey's voice sounds mature. It doesn't even feel like this came out in the 80's! I can't ask for more.
