Eva Cassidy's phrasing and voice are in top form on this brilliant rendition

of past love's recollection. One of the best songs I have in my entire portfolio of more than a half century's worth of music of all genres. I adore Sting, but Eva Cassidy's version is far more touching with a deep, undeniable pathos. Still it's a positive, wonderful song;her voice is purely sensual woman. Again, kudos to Amazon over itunes for offerings I learned of internationally, even tho' the beautiful, gone-too-soon Eva Cassidy was American. Unknown to me til an Australian friend featured her, I've bought several of her CDs since. Love mostly everything she does, tho' I'm not a fan of most of her jazz covers. Still, her excellence as a musician is unmistakeable. Steel strings are a perfect contrast to her soft melodies. Divine gift she brought and continues to bring us via Amazon.

My only question is how someone with such an amazing voice and style remained unknown this long while the music biz wasted effort and money on dozens of talentless pop divas. Try the song sample and you will be sold as I was.
