This review is from: Fieldwork Among the Maya: Reflections on the Harvard Chiapas Project (Hardcover)
This is the first anthropology book I've read. Prof. Vogt does a very good job of describing the varied and interesting research projects done in Zinacantan, Chamula, and other areas around San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. The contemporary Maya are fascinating. I loved the descriptions of the cultures learning about each other.
