I have owned many dinnerware sets over the years and always get tired of them, before I can break them. I eventually give them away. With Fiesta Ware, I find that I have not gotten tired of it. What is so wonderful, not only is practical for every day use, but as new colors come out and you add to your collection they complement each other and make a wonderfully colorful table whether you are setting a small table or a large group. If you do happen to break any, they can be replaced with any other wonderful color. The large pieces are displayed in my hutch and I get many complements on them. I use them every day as they are so practical as well as prety. Highly recommed.

I finally purchased my first Fiesta. I choose the cinnabar. I do like how the dishes seem to be able to handle everyday clanging of loading the dishwasher and stacking in the cabinet. I'm not afraid to "handle" my dishes. They do seem tough. However I have only had mine for about 3 months and they are noticeably scratched up from silverware usage. Even my mother-in-law commented on how they looked. Maybe a lighter color would not be so noticeable.

I love these dishes! I just ordered my first set of Fiestaware from Amazon (in Cobalt Blue)& they are great! They have a nice heavy weight & so far have held up to daily use & dishwashing without a hitch. In a home with two small children to boot!

Be warned, however, if any of your dishes arrive chipped or broken, you will have to return the entire set. Luckily, Amazon takes care of the cost of return-shipping.

Make sure you are happy with the quality of the glaze & inspect for bubbles or ripples on the surface, as it does vary.

I placed 2 different orders for a total of 55 place settings of fiestaware, spread across 10 different colors. The dishes look great. Everything arrived quickly without any hassles & nothing was broken. People who expect to match color off pictures from the web aren't doing their homework. Check colors at local stores & you'll know exactly what you'll be getting. There are also a lot of websites with more pictures and detailed color descriptions.

WOW! I always thought you get what you pay for... this is one of those rare few cases where you get a steal!

The depth of color is amazing on the cinnabar set that we purchased. Because video cards and monitors are not identical and can be off in color and hue, purchasing something based on color is always a bit of a gamble. But I'm glad I took that gamble with the cinnabar set. It's not as deep of a red as cran berry juice per say... but probably closer to the skin of a red pomegranate or granada fruit. As for the quality of the pieces, it's exceptional for the price. It's been through our dishwasher about 10 times now and I can't see and damage or fading in color.

They're so easy on the eyes that now we want to put in glass windows in our cupboards so we can see them. Not too shabby for the price! We look forward to acquiring more pieces and colors in the future... probably cobalt blue!... maybe pearl grey... what about plum... (sigh)

We've had this set for twenty years this fall. The set looks as good as the day we took it out of the boxes (which we still have, BTW), and after all the abuse the set has taken, there has been one casualty. Think about it - a service for twelve, used every day for twenty years, and not babied in the slightest, and one bowl gets chipped. I bought a replacement from Amazon's open stock for a very reasonable price, and the new bowl has blended in with the set, and I expect it to last as long as the twenty-year old stuff. Homer Laughlin potteries has been arond a long time and has a good reputation, but reputation or not, my dishes were well worth the price.

We have the black dishes, which make the food look good, no matter what we serve on it. We've never had a guest who didn't comment favorably on our "righteous cool" dinnerware. The dinner plates are a generous size but may not lie flat in smaller cabinets. The salad plates are the perfect size for a child's meal or a small lunch, and the the two sizes of bowl will suit every dining need. The small bowl will give a child or dieter all the soup they want, while the more generous soup bowl will hold enough for a hungry adult. The number of add-on dishes is endless, and one could make it a lifetime hobby, discovering and buying them all. But that's certainly not required -- two or three sets like this (depending on how big a family you have or how much you entertain), plus a couple of serving bowls, a covered casserole and a gravy boat provide a perfectly adequate number of dishes for the average family that has better things to do than baby fine china.

We bought these because they were on sale, and it's hard to find black. At the start, they were suppossed to be temporary.
Then we bought extra plates, because we'd fallen in love with them. Not only are they classy and match the decor, but these are tough. I'm a klutz, and these bowls bounce right off of the floor, nothing broken yet, and coming up to a year.
My only complaint is the small size of the cups, and I about never use the saucers, but that's a matter of taste, and there are other sets available.

I got a Fiestaware set as a wedding present, and it has been the thing we use every single day. It goes with everything, looks nice, goes in the dishwasher and it takes loads of abuse. We're rough on dishes and I have yet to even chip one of these. And if I want more, they're easily available in nice colors that go together and the price is right. I also like that they're lead-free. If you're looking to buy a wedding present for someone, I highly recommend a set. It will around, in use and appreciated long after fancier types have given up the ghost

After 13 years of dining from Corelle dinnerware (which was fine) my family is now enjoying the casual elegance of our new cobalt fiesta ware. The color is darker than the sample shown on this website. It's more of an indigo and is deep and rich in color and dimension. We hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

All fiestaware is terrific!!!! I have many different colors and all sizes and shapes and just love it. Some say it scratches, but in owners manual, all you have to do is wipe with a soft scrub and it looks like new..only had one mark in last 12 years...Please try it, the weight is great, and very durriable..
