5.0 out of 5 stars An actual review of the BOWL and NOT CS
I have a bunch of these bowls and they get used daily, many times over. Perfect for cereal, soup, snacks, etc. Great for making oatmeal in the microwave, the oversize and tall size prevents that nasty spillover mess. I love these and wouldn't be w/o them. The finish has stayed bright and shiny through many dishwashings, highly recommend!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not good quality.
There was no stamp on the bottom of this showing it was genuine fiestaware. The tell tale tool marks of fiesta gusto bowls (near the top edge) were not there. Great price, arrived quickly, but not comparable to other fiesta gusto bowls I have purchased from the same seller.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everyday Perfect!, July 5, 2008
By
I have four of these in Scarlet, and will probably buy more. They are my "go to" bowl everytime I need a bowl for whatever. I mean, I just seem to automatically reach for my gusto bowls; they're so handy!

I love the "weighty" feel, and the perfect "depth" to them. And, they are very beautiful in the bright red Scarlet; very pleasing to the eye.

I can't say enough about this dinnerware. And, to top it off, it's been made right here in the USA since like forever, and hasn't been "farmed" out to China.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything a bowl should be, January 4, 2008
These bowls are on the big side, which is good when you're microwaving soup or hot cereal as you've got a little room for boiling without boiling over. They're thick, chunky, solid bowls that look very attractive and festive on the table. They also have a flat, sturdy base and cannot be easily tipped over.

I've got mine in sunflower yellow, bright orange, and peacock blue. I've ordered from Fiestaware about four times now, and they always package their product with great care: padded on all sides by sheets of heavy, corrugated cardboard the way wine-bottles are shipped. Plus I remember that all the orders I placed showed up remarkably quickly, well inside the promised delivery date. I'm very happy with Fiestaware in general.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS BOWL, March 20, 2007

I loved the review that said I can make oatmeal and it doesn't boil over in the microwave. So true! That is exactly what I was looking for and I found it! I love that this is big enough for oatmeal, soup, chili etc. and no worries about spilling. It is the perfect size large enough and yet not so huge that it is not useful. I also love the color. It is so cheerful and inviting - just the right shade - not too dark or too light. I bought two persimmon and two sunflower and everyone wants to use them including our children. I wish I had bought more.

I have four of these Fiesta gusto bowls, and they're great. The bowls are the perfect size for just about anything, and they're also sturdy and attractive. I think the peacock blue color is much more appealing in person: the photo on the Web site makes the color seem a bit washed out, so don't be fooled by that. I plan on adding more Fiesta ware to my collection very soon.

I ordered 4 of these bowls in fun mix and match colors. I stack them 2 in a stack in my cabinet. My husband thought I was crazy for ordering these. Too big he said to eat in and too small to serve in. I disagreed and have since used them enough that he now knows they are useful too.
I can serve a can of fruit or small side dishes in these. I also have found them to be very handy to grab and use while cooking. I use one to toss my egg shells in when cooking a big breakfast. I can whip egg etc. quickly in one too. I use them to measure ingredients while preparing ingredients ahead of cooking. They are great for cooking oatmeal in the microwave. There are just many uses for these tall, deep bowls. Ideally I would have bought 3 of these. I think things look good in 3's on the table. They were buy 3 get 1 free when I bought though, so thus the 4th one. If you don't have a large family, but do cook then start out trying one and see if it meets your needs. I bet you'll be back to buy a second or third!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent cereal bowl, March 25, 2011

I am a big cereal eater. Most men would not eat cereal for dinner, but I dine on it 2-3 times per week. Silly though it may sound, I did not own a suitable cereal bowl. What does it take to make it work? First of all, it must be deep enough to hold two cups of Frosted Flakes or Bran Flakes, plus one cup of skim milk, plus one banana. Second, there must be enough room to mix the ingredients without splattering. Third, bowl should not be too wide. Fourth, the bowl should not be flimsy, it should have a solid feel but not be too heavy. Nothing in my kitchen cabinet even came close to meeting my criteria. This Fiesta bowl is great. At first, I though that 24 ounces would be too large, but it is actually perfect, with ample room for my ingredients and sufficient room to mix them. I strongly recommend this bowl to anyone who eats cereal frequently. You will not be disappointed.

Fiesta ware is as always, nice ceramic ware. However I ordered this because it seemed to be a light, buttery yellow. The bowls that came are the color of French's mustard. Just be forewarned. If you want soft yellow, I think you'd want the one called Ivory.
