I work in an assisted living facility and we use Fiestaware in the Alzheimer's area. I didn't know these were salad plates until I was looking at all of the Fiestaware. We have always referred to these plates as dessert plates. They are the perfect size for a piece of pie! They are also durable. I have dropped a few of these plates and none have them have broken. Thank goodness!! These plates are very durable, too. The style of plate is very classy and simple, which is great because you don't have to search and search and search to find flatware and glassware to match it!

I recently ordered 2 sets of 4 white fiestaware salad plates from amazon.com - using the super saver shipping option - and received them in less than a week - unbroken, packed carefully, all 8 of them - no complaints whatsoever. These are great little plates - solidly made, classic design - I'll certainly order more items from amazon.com to complete my set.

I bought a set of the cobalt blue about three and a half years ago and they started getting scratches almost immediately within 6 months.
Then I thought I'd try these periwinkle plates and I'm pleased to say that these hold up quite a bit better after 3 years of constant use.
I like the color and Fiestaware allows you to mix and match with no problem.
These should last many years.

Whatever problems there were before seem to be fixed, because I did indeed get a set of four plates. Color's beautiful! Packed very well so nothing broke during shipment.

5 stars- I like the quality of Fiestaware and Cinnabar is a pretty color. I ordered 4 Fiestaware salad plates and 4 cereal bowls. My salad plates came but the bowls were backordered, and backordered, and are now cancelled! However, Amazon was fair, as I was not charged for the bowls. I hope this vendor gets it more together.

Yes, 5 stars for the actual product, I love fiestaware, and have always been very pleased with how durable and beautiful it is!

However, I saw the price for a set of four plates, and thought, "Wow that's cheap!" Beware even though it clearly says, SET OF FOUR, it is not. It is only one. I am currently trying to recover the other 3 plates! Wish me luck.

Since I placed this review, Amazon has graciously refunded my money. This is exactly why I've always and will always continue to shop with Amazon!

I also think Fiestaware is a great product - however, I just opened my package expecting 8 bowls, 8 plates, and 8 mugs and, like the reviewer below, found that I had only received 2 of each item. I was afraid that price was too good to be true. I wonder how many others of us have been duped?!

I just wanted to say that the color depicted on my computer screen does not do justice to the rich, beautiful color of my Juniper fiestaware. It's a deep green with shades of blue. The color is so impressive that I had to order the entire set of Fiestaware after I saw how pretty it was.

I received my order in excellent condition, and packed very securely. The only disappointment with the Fiesta Dinnerware, is that it scratches when knives are used on the surface. I did not expect that to happen with a "fairly pricey" dinnerware product, especially when used as everyday china. Other than that, I am very happy with my choice.

I started with three colors, periwinkle,light green and yellow. Now I have added the pink, cobalt, and orange. I like to pull out different color combinations for the changing season. in the spring, I have the light colors, and then in the fall, the darker colors. They are fun!
