5.0 out of 5 stars capacious
Good bowls. The straight sides are good for capacity and for trapping contents with your spoon. I use the giant cups for things I don't want to cool off, and these bowls for things which need cooling. Super for stew and chili. Good for pasta, too, the sides help you wind spaghetti on a fork without the aid of a spoon. They fit in the dishwasher between the rows of...

3.0 out of 5 stars BUYER BEWARE! This is NOT a set of four!!
This product page indicates that what is being sold is a set of four yet, much to my disappointment, what I actually received was an individual bowl. 4.0 out of 5 stars Classics, As Always, June 21, 2002
By A Customer
Smaller and shallower than I expected, I soon learned to treasure our little Fiestaware cereal bowls. They're great for dinner salads, dessert and, yeah, cereal. They're sturdy and colorful, as all Fiestaware is, and look great on the table. If you eat big bowls of cereal, you may find these are not as large as you'd like and they are a little too shallow to double as soup bowls.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fiestaware lets you mix and match, May 14, 2001
By
I was married last June and registered for Fiestaware as my everyday dishes. My husband thought they were boring and plain at first. At my first wedding shower, I recieved almost all my dishes, but not in the colors I registered for. I was ready to return them and then realized the joy of Fiestaware. You can mix and match all the colors and still have a kitchen full of fun dishes. My husband loves them now and has fun setting the table with a pattern of colors. It is hard to find the unsual colors at department stores, but online the colors are easier to find. I have cobolt, periwinkle, gray, white and turquiose and I can't wait to add more colors. Fiestware colors allows you build a kitchen cabinet full of color and fun. It also gives you variety with your dishes everday.

3.0 out of 5 stars BUYER BEWARE! This is NOT a set of four!!, August 13, 2008
This product page indicates that what is being sold is a set of four yet, much to my disappointment, what I actually received was an individual bowl. (I ordered three "sets" in three different colors and I received three individual bowls.) The first time I called Macy's customer service, I was disconnected. The second time, I was told that the product was actually an individual bowl and that they would be happy to ship the remaining bowls at $6.00 each. When I indicated that the product page very clearly indicated a "set of four" they told me I had to contact amazon. The best amazon could do was to file an A-Z Guarantee. Hopefully within two weeks, I will receive a refund. The bowls are lovely and a perfect size for children's snacks (a serving of fruit or a dollop of hummus and a handful of corn chips). I especially like that they are made in the USA and free of cadmium and lead. A rare find! However, beware that you will not be getting a set of four unless you order four!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Simplicity, January 4, 2001
By

Nothing fancy here. Just your plain, old, run-of-the-mill bowls, durable and sturdy. They're not too deep, not too shallow, just right for cereal. Of course, you're free to eat whatever you want in them since there doesn't appear to be any restrictive licensing arrangements.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bowls, but maybe smaller than you're hoping, January 3, 2010

These are the Fiesta 460, 14oz, 5-5/8", "small", bowls. Amazon has different subsets of those descriptors on different product listings, so I thought it would be helpful to clarify.

I love my Fiestaware and use these bowls on a daily basis. Initially, I wasn't psyched about the flat-bottom shape of these, but I've gotten used to it and it's the only complaint I have. I use these for cereal or small servings of other things, and occasionally bake in them (such as individual pot pies). And the flat bottom is great for those baking things.

14oz is clearly measured as up to the rim; if you're using these for soup or cereal or anything liquid, 8-10oz is more like the amount you would want to fill these to. (I just checked with a measuring cup.) Though of course for dry or solid things, more will work.

You might prefer the similarly shaped 861, 19oz, 7", "medium" bowls. I don't have any of those, so I can't verify capacity, but I have a set of the 576, 18oz., "chowder" bowls that hold about 16oz of liquid. And also some of the 849, 24oz, "gusto" bowls, which are the right size for most canned soups.

(I did get a set of four. I think there was a previous problem with the listing from Macy's... I ordered an alleged set of four plates from Amazon/Macy's in the same time frame and similarly received only one. Note that these problems were some time ago and may not apply today.)

1.0 out of 5 stars Item did not come as described, December 12, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Fiesta 14-1/4-Ounce Small Bowls, Set of 4, Shamrock (Kitchen)
I was charged for a single bowl not a set of 4. So I paid almost 20 for two small bowls because I ordered 2. As far as Fiesta is concerned it's the best you can get for everyday use.

1.0 out of 5 stars not set of four!!!!, September 4, 2008
I ordered two sets of these, was very excited about trying new colors of my favorite brand fiesta. Recieved one bowl of each set. Amazon's only recourse was return and refund. Very disapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Same good quality, March 12, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've purchased several Fiestaware dishes and have been pleased with all. These bowls are of the same quality. (Note: these bowls are smaller that the bowls you get with the place settings). Purchased these from Mega China, I am pleased with the transaction and received quickly.
