With its clean lines and luxuriant glaze, this pitcher simply exudes elegance. In addition to its abundant style, this pitcher is also possessed of substantial functionality, providing a smooth drip-free pour. Either as a mundane juice container or as a decorative accent on a foyer end-table, this item is a worthy addition to any home.

As an owner of a lot of Fiestaware this one piece is something I bought two of. One in Sea Mist and one in yellow. The yellow is a light yellow more like a pale lemon. The one thing I noticed right away was how balanced the carafe is when it has liquid in it. Easy to carry and pour from.I think the size of the opening aids in the balance and ease of pouring. We have Fiestaware dinner sets in a variety of colours and use it as our daily dishes as well as outside around the deck and pool and inside for small casual gatherings. The colours are what make these dishes so fun to use and if you have a variety of colours they enliven a table like no other dishes can. The carafe holds a healthy 60 ounces and we have served everything from coffee to french lavander lemonade in ours and the hot liquids stay hot and the cold liquids stay cold, longer. And the item is easy clean as well.

Perfect for serving brunch.,

This review is from: Fiesta 60-Ounce Handled Carafe, Turquoise (Kitchen)
I purchased the turquoise and sunflower a while back and just recently ordered the cobalt and cinnabar. I loved this carafe especially when serving weekend brunches--even with just my family of four. We feel fancy using the different fiestawares--and that is really special to my 5-year old. I use this for water, orange juice, or whatever kind of juice you want. And it just makes the table a little more festive. The only thing I was surprised when I got this was I thought it would be a little bigger. Other than that, it is absolutely beautiful and I don't mind having it in more colors than I already have.

Wow!,

The photo does not do this piece justice! My jaw dropped when I first pulled it out of the box. The color is beautiful, as is the styling, it feels good in hand, and is as sturdy as Fiestaware's reputation. I haven't however, used it yet, but from years of experience with this company's pieces I'm betting on it's efficiency.

Fiestaware 60-Ounce Handled Carafe review,

This review is from: Fiesta 60-Ounce Handled Carafe, Scarlet (Kitchen)
This carafe is a product that has been designed for the look of it and not for the practicality of it. It most certainly does look good and from using the carafe it becomes abundantly clear that the look of it is the clear focus of the design. The spout of the carafe is in the center of the top and the size and shape of the pot/basin/bulb section of the carafe make it so that only about 2/3 of the liquid contents can be easily poured. The remaining liquid is unable to make it to the spout as it becomes trapped in the pot/basin/bulb due to the curve and angles of the carafe leading to the spout. In order to pour out the remaining 1/3 the carafe needs to be completely inverted resulting in an uncontrolled dumping. Not very practical, but again, it certainly does look good!

I love this carafe - it is perfect for making flavored water with sliced lemons, limes & oranges. The narrow neck means that the fruit won't fall into your glass while you are pouring and the fruit staying put also means it can steep in the water longer...YUM

In 1939 my mother received a set of Fiestaware as a wedding gift. Regretfully, all that is left are the round salt ant pepper shakers.I have just bought the the 60 oz. Carafe. The simplicity of design and the quality of engineering are marvelous. It is timeless. It is far more capcious than it looks. Stable, won't tip in the fridge and doesn't drip when pouring. Now the dilemma, how to make room for more pieces. Earthquake, anyone?

This is another gorgeous piece by fiesta. It is lovely and functional. My only issue is that the dimensions state it is 12" tall, when it is really less than 8"!!! So, beautiful, but small.

Mine looked like factory seconds,

This review is from: Fiesta 60-Ounce Handled Carafe, Black (Kitchen)
I ordered two of these great Fiesta handled carafes in black. I plan to use them for serving pieces as well as for accent pieces. Black is hard to come by at the local retail outlets in my area so I had to order mine without the benefit of scrutinizing the quality of finish before purchase. I have noticed at the retail places that blemishes often show up on the pieces. I was not happy when I received my carafes and both of them had glaze skips (where the white under the glaze shows through) as well as scratches in the glaze (which I have never seen before and can't imagine what happened to put them there). In my opinion these pieces should have been culled at the factory and sold as seconds. I love the pieces, I'm just dissappointed with the quality of the finish. I also received a black covered butter which was blemish free.

Handy little pitcher,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Fiesta 60-Ounce Handled Carafe, Scarlet (Kitchen)
I like to entertain and I like to help my friends entertain. So frequently, I use a pitcher or three at my get togethers or I take one to someone else's shindig. I was looking on Amazon for pitchers, and must admit, that I was influenced by my mother's choices when I was doing my search.
When I was growing up, my mother had a large collection of FiestaWare and one of the items she had was a large Blue Fiesta pitcher with a round circle (disc) in the middle of it. I recall that I and the kids in the neighborhood were frequntly served KoolAide from this vessel on hot summer afternoons and that it went from being a dispenser of child fare to more formally serving Iced Tea at dinner time. It always seemed to provide a cold beverage to hot, thirsty people, but it did sweat a lot in the process. So, having that in mind, I looked to FiestaWare when I deicided to pitch my functional Tupperware and get something serviceable and pretty to use. I did a lot of searching on Amazon before I made my final decisions. I even ordered some items and sent back the ones that would not do. Having decided to go with beauty and functionality instead of the always practical Tupperware, I decided to do some "Collecting" while I was shopping. It made things more of a challenge as well as more fun overall. In the end I found myself with two of these Fiesta, ceramic, pitchers. One is Scarlet, and it is a beauty, and one is Cream, and is best described, as being quite lovely. Both are currently on display in my kitchen/sitting area. Initially, I also bought one of the squarish Fiesta Pitchers with the round emblem in the middle of them. This is like the one my Mom had. I finally decided, though, that the look was just not for me and it went back. I like this classic, jar, shaped pitcher ever so much better. Its lines are classic and have been used for thousands of year. Whatever the cause, I am just more partial to the round pitcher. One reviewer wrote that this pitcher did not pour well, or perhaps at all, after you used the top third of the fluid. So, to test that, I filled the item with plain tap water to see if that was truly an issue. So many other reviewers had stated that it poured so nicely that I wondered what the problem was. The first third of the contents poured freely with no problem, then I noted a small hitch in the flow of the water. Since I was filling a cat bowl, and delicacy was not a requirement, I tilted the pitcher rapidly over the bowl to see what would transpire. "Glug" went the water and tumbled into the bowl all in a large rush. So, I tried the procedure again going at it a bit more slowly. When poured slowly, the top third of the fluid poured easily and so did the rest of the contents and there was no "Glug" involved. So I do not know if the other reviewer had a weirdly shaped "jar" on his vessel or if he was just trying to pour too fast. But pouring is no problem as long as you proceed with care. Other reviewers have mentioned that the pitcher was small. Even though I had read this, I was not quite prepared for how short and squat the pitcher can look. On the other hand, the lines are so elegant, that it tends to look taller than it is. I finally measured it just to be sure. The pitcher is 8 inches high, which is only 2/3 of a foot. In my mind, I think of pitchers as being tall, but this one is a small one. It holds only a little over seven cups. But again, its small stature is relieved by its beautiful lines. Functionally, it is in the OK range. It is made of ceramic, not stoneware and it keeps things cool for only 30 minutes, then the liquid in it rapidly heats to room temperature. I have not tried warm beverages in this. I live in Arizona. I am looking for a cool drink, not a hot one. But, given its makeup, I would guess it holds heat no better. It is a little pricey. Le Creuset's stoneware pitchers are almost as pretty and, certainly, keep things cold or hot and they are priced the same. If I could only have one pitcher, I would go with the Le Creuset one. But, as frequently happens, beauty and the availability of multiple color choices have driven, yet another customer, to choose what may not be the "best." I double checked and right now this pitcher is available in 13 colors at this site and in more at other sites. Seems like everyone would find a favorite color, or a color that matches, with all those choices available. Well, I had a good time shopping for this and have had great success in using it for various get togethers. I only gave it four stars because it does have some quirks such as the "glug" effect, its short stature and its relatively high cost. On the other hand, it is a classic beauty and does its job pretty well. I hope all of this "yakking" will assist you in your search and that you will be as pleased, at the end of your adventure, as I am.
