5.0 out of 5 stars FIESTA!
This is a nice bright color salad plate. Plus the size is perfect for a nice size salad. These plates are not too different from the luncheon plates, so if you're trying to build your collection and want to save money, buy a set of one or the other since they're so similar in size. These plates are also good for snacks and a perfect size plate for cake and ice cream!

3.0 out of 5 stars Love Fiesta, but the salad plate is just OK
We bought the Fiesta dishes because we wanted something safe and casual that was made in the USA. We have been very pleased with these, and I whole-heartedly recommend them.

That said, the salad plate is just OK. I find it to be an odd size...not quite large enough to be a true salad plate but too big to be a bread plate. With our old dishes, I used the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Love Fiesta, but the salad plate is just OK, September 22, 2010

With our old dishes, I used the salad plates to serve snacks and lunches to my elementary-school aged son. But these plates are a bit too small for a kid's lunch.

It will work OK as an actual salad plate, but the salad will need to be pretty small. Even here, it's not so great for me. If I serve a dinner where I want a separate salad plate, I usually like to put the salad plate right on top of the dinner plate and serve in courses. The size difference between this and the dinner plate is large enough that it looks funny to have the salad plate set on top of the dinner plate. It's really meant to set at the side, not on top.

This is the plate that comes with the place settings. However, they also have a luncheon plate that is inbetween this one and the dinner plate, and I'll probably end up eventually replacing these plates with the lunch plates.

Again though, all of this has been completely worth the effort with the Fiesta dishes. I really like them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Smaller than thought, October 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Good quality and good colors, purchased to match dinner plates. Product arrived very quickly. Smaller than thought the average salad plate should be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fiestaware, January 23, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought a couple of the 4 piece sets at a local store last year but it didn't have the salad plates with it. I was so happy to find that I could order the quantity I needed here. I will order more in the future! These are durable, fun plates and I am working on collecting different pieces in assorted colors. It makes my table look festive!

When I got these, I was surprised there was no Fiesta name on the bottom of the plate. I wanted to make sure they were the non-lead glazed plates I had paid for. I contacted Fiesta, and they said they put the stamp on before glazing and then it gets hidden.

Already reviewed one of the plates, these are the same ones, just different colors. Cannot beat this Fiestaware. Hold up well in microwave and dishwasher. The come in all shapes and sizes and colors. I like to mix and match. Price and delivery from Amazon are best around.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these plates, May 24, 2011

I used to live in Boonton, NJ where they made the old Fiestaware. I love this stuff. Anyway I digress. These are wonderful plates. Perfect size, and they hold up well in the microwave and in the dishwasher. I had some fancier ones I bought in a department store, and they are long gone. These are my favorites by far. And Amazons' prices and delivery cannot be beaten.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love Fiesta dinnerware, March 21, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I'm new to Fiesta. I've never owned it. I had never even seen it in person before until I went to the store (which you MUST DO if you're new to the line because the colors are NOTHING like the digital online pics show) to see colors in person. I LOVED it.

I needed new dinnerware (sending my 30 year old WHITE Corelle off to college with my son...since it's virtually unbreakable. 30 years old! seriously!)and decided on Fiestaware because of all the beautiful colors (yay! color!) and great reviews. I bought this salad plate and must say, that would be an awfully small salad. We use these for bread plates or a sandwich plate. It's most definitely not large enough for a salad. I purchased these in Tangerine (bright orange), Ivory (which is an antique Ivory...more on the yellow side of Ivory) and Paprika (absolutely GORGEOUS color...under different lighting it looks red-ish, rusty, or red-orange/orange-red) and we just love them. If you're looking at the salad plate to buy it, just know it's too small for a real salad, but is PERFECT as a bread plate with dinner and looks great on a table.

See my review for the cobalt fiesta tumbler. It's not plastic-yeah. It is the perfect size for a sandwich and carrots for lunch.
