I have purchased a lot of Fiestaware on line. Some pieces through Amazon. This particular piece did not meet my expectations. The inside of the lid was oddly warped. It left me wondering if I had received a factory second?

I got the turquoise 70-ounce casserole (with lid) as a gift for my sister in law and she loves it. We all love the Fiestaware dishes - they are beautiful and hold up well! We have yet to break one and whenever anyone brings a dish to the home, we joke about misplacing that one so that it stays there! It's a wonderful dish. I'd highly recommend any Fiestaware product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cinnabar is a beautiful table piece, June 1, 2001

I gave this piece to my wife for Mothers Day - it was a big hit. The cinnabar has a hot look that makes hot food even more appealing on the table. It matches our Arts and Crafts era home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great item, March 5, 2006
By
Boy, do I LOVE this piece! I got mine for a LOT less at an outlet store and it's just wonderful. I LOVE the purple color - it's just gorgeous in a tuscan kitchen and this piece looks marvelous on the table. It does wonderfully in the oven - it's not overly big so don't get it to feed a family of 5 or so. It's about 1.5 quarts. I get tons of compliments on these pieces and the purple, well, it's just original and if you're afraid of it, don't be. It's just a gorgeous color and one that I'm very glad to have introduced into my kitchen. I'm getting more! Highly recommended piece.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must for Family-Style Dinners, December 1, 2009
By
This covered casserole has been on my kitchen table nearly every night for the past twenty-ahem years, and has served us perfectly. It holds plenty of a main dish for 4-6 people, and if I'm serving a side dish from it, I can easily serve a dozen portions from it. The china is easy to clean, doesn't stick to food, and keeps food hot all through dinner. It's sturdy enough to make it through countless school and church pot luck dinners, and even little kids can't break it. Unfortunately after nearly a quarter-century of constant use, the casserole dish didn't withstand being dropped on its lid, handle side down. (the knob fell off)

As you might have guessed, I can't imagine serving dinner without my faithful old companion sitting in the middle of the dinner table. I'm just delighted that Amazon has my casserole, in the right color (black), and for a reasonable price: about two bucks a year, or half a cent per day. If you're looking for a stylish, sturdy and well made companion, you can't go wrong here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such a classic, graceful design & size!, May 30, 2008

This review is from: Fiesta 70-Ounce Covered Casserole, White (Kitchen)
There isn't a lot of ovenware that can go right to the table and be pretty. This is one of those rare pieces. The lid fits rather well on some other Fiesta bowls as well and we've also used it to cover plates (that then go into the over, microwave or fridge). The bowl also works well for fruit, popcorn, soup....

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful casserole dish!, June 17, 2007
This was one of our wedding presents purchased off of the registry, and we are so glad we picked this! It's a good size for a small family and it performs well in the stove or microwave, looks great on the table, fits well into the refrigerator, and when it's all over, you can stick it in the dishwasher. That coupled with its price makes this piece something every Fiesta lover should have. It's heavy enough to feel "quality" but it's not ridiculously heavy or cumbersome. We received this dish in Tangerine, a fun and lively color.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love fiestaware, March 9, 2001
By A Customer
I started collecting fiestaware and thought I would only want green and yellow but now I love all the colors and was disappointed to find that black is rare where I live. I was so happy to see it here! It is beautiful shiny black. Very elegant but great to use everyday!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great piece, but don't expect it to arrive quickly, August 4, 2006
I have the tangerine one and I love it -- it's great for using in the microwave to make Rice a Roni and stuff like that. However, my father ordered the Periwinkle one off of my wish list and it kept getting backordered -- for months. We finally cancelled the order and I got something else from my wish list.
