I have this bowl in the plum but this sunflower is gorgeous too and I'm getting one of these (check out the scarlet too - whew!) and I absolutely LOVE it! It doesn't hold a ton so if you're planning on using it for a spaghetti meal, forget it. It will hold a 1lb. bag of frozen vegetables, a box of mac and cheese and about 2 15oz cans of veggies. Great, great bowl, looks absolutely fabulous on the table, and the clean up is a breeze. If you're looking to get tons of compliments on your table, buy this bowl! Awesome can't even say enough about it. I highly recommend!

I have a lot of Fiestaware, some going back to the fifties, and the new plum colour is the most vibrant colour and elegant as well as simply in design, with a lovely Zen quality that fits well with both an Asian as well as a Scandinavian home design.

Place a few pebbles and water in the bowl and float a gardenia as a flower piece. Or pick fresh lemons and place them in the bowl and they look gorgeous. The bowl is of a nice size that I can even whisk a few eggs for omelets or serve steamed rice, or fresh fruit salad for two.

The sides are on a nice arch that my elderly neighbor with arthritis can handle the bowl with ease as can our young grandchildren when passing grapes to each other. I guess that is one thing I find so lovely about the bowl. It is perfect for a variety of fresh fruit.

Makes a lovely gift for a woman or a man who loves to cook or serve gracious and delicious food.

It's cheap, solid and beautifully colored. I have Fiestaware in white, cinnabar, cobalt, black and juniper and all of the pieces are beautiful. This bowl is nice for fruit or for serving salads or pasta. The color is deep and rich.

Wether or not you collect Fiestaware, the Pedestal Bowl is an excellent serveware addition. Sturdy and not too heavy. Just the right size to hold two bunches of grapes, or your favorite side dish. It also makes an extreemly wonderful single serving salad bowl for those of us who can't get enough of those tasty greens.

I love this bowl! It's the first bowl that I reach for when I am preparing something in the kitchen. It looks great and is big enough to serve dips, salads, etc in. It was my first Fiestaware piece and I am hooked. The collection has been growing steadily ever since :) Very easy to clean and quite durable, No chips or scratches yet and I am not the most careful cook. A great piece at an incredible price!

I use my pedestal bowl as storage for my onions and garlic. I leave it out on the counter because it is so beautiful. I love the sunflower color!

Fiestaware is great anyway, but this piece is wonderful. I use it for late night salads. Plenty of room for the "Big Salad". And if you want, a great bowl for chips at parties, or on football days like Saturday and Sunday. A big roomy bowl that Jethro Bodine would have loved. Be creative and put what you want in there. The color is electric, and goes great with alot of things.

A wonderful bowl to use as a table centerpiece. The pedestal bottom is subtle and still allows for stacking when storing. As far as serving, the bowl is about medium sized. Works well as a roll or biscuit holder, salad mix for side salads or side dishes. It is not quite big enough for main dishes for more than 2 people. It is a must have bowl for your Fiestaware collection.

I read so many reviews from people who received broken dishes when ordering Fiestaware from Amazon. The shippers must've really changed their packing techniques because every piece of Fiestaware that I've received when ordering directly from Amazon has been packed with much care and a lot of cardboard bumpers. Not a broken dish (knock on wood).

I have this bowl in peacock (bright blue). The style and color go with my other fiestaware and the pedestal is just the right size. I noticed some people thought the bowl was too small so I was planning on using it as a fruit or candy dish. For me, this bowl is the perfect size for salad, a small pasta dish or vegetables. Much more versitile than I thought!

This is a wonderful bowl for a centerpiece and don't hesitate to also use it as a serving bowl. Fiestaware is famous for its excellent glazes and this piece does not disappoint. The cinnabar color is particularly nice to use around Christmas time. I also ordered the sauceboat w/platter to go along with this (although Amazon still hasn't shipped it) and plan on having a killer tablescape this Christmas!
