Fun shape for an old favorite,

I love my Fiestaware, and these new square plates are a great addition to their product line. The square salad plate is the right size for many meals. These plates stack easily, and their squared-off shape makes them easy to fit in the cabinet and dishwasher (though I'm not quite as favorable toward the new square bowls -- which do not stack and are harder to clean). I like the new shape for plates as a new twist on this line of dishes, which has been a favorite of 3 generations in my family.
Like all Fiestaware, these square plates are a prone to slight scratches from silverware, but I find that to be part of their old-fashioned-but-modern charm. I find Fiesta dishes to be very sturdy for everyday use. The colors are bright and bold, just as pictured. The colors are inspiring for everyday, but also work well for special occasions. I definitely recommend these square plates!

My plates were not scratched, and they were individually wrapped in bubble wrap- so all survived the trip to my house. They are exactly what I wanted to finish out my large set of fiesta. The price (around 4.40 a plate) was a huge plus.

Gorgeous, but a touch smaller than I need,

Just got 4 salad plates, they are cute as can be, but a bit small. I am wishing I got the luncheon plates, they seem like they'd be better suited to fitting a serving of salad . I may end up using these little guys as cake plates, instead.

I purchased the square 3 piece sets (dinner, mug, bowl) from a brick and mortar store and wanted to add to my collection. I use this size as often as the dinner plate and am quite happy with the performance. I chose red and ivory as my color combination and although the ivory almost looks yellow, I'm still quite pleased. I really and truly appreciate the fact that the Fiesta dinnerware is USA made as I don't trust other manufacturers having potential lead in their products.
The service from Amazon was prompt and nothing was damaged during shipment. I have not had any issues with Amazon to date and will continue to purchase from them.

Love the plate. I will say that the color is definitely not ivory though....it's more of a light yellow. I was hoping for an off-white look, but got yellow. I still do love the plates though.

My friends that are dieting use this size as a dinner plare !!!
I needed a new set of dishes. I like to have the same basic dishes in various colors. It is very hard to find any dishes that are made in the USA. These are made in the USA and make a great presentation. The plates allow me to not only mix colors but plate shapes !!! I love these dishes !!!

Terrific to change up your Fiesta place settings or just for fun. I ordered 8, all in different colors, and that jazzes the table right up (my main Fiesta place settings are plum and ivory)...
While the square salad plates are fabulous - the square bowls are not so much. They do not stack - and that's a "fatal Fiesta drawback" for place setting pieces for me. The interior is round (fine!) but the bases/outsides are slightly squared off. It just doesn't work well for storage. I have 4 and I'll keep them, but I won't order more (rimmed soups/salads instead!)

My quarrel is not really with the plate itself, which would garner four out of five stars: minus one star because it is slightly concave, making the usable surface a bit too small for my needs. My problem is really with this plate as purchased from Amazon. I bought 12, of which 6 had scratches. The scratch pattern on several was consistent with having been stacked with no protection between. I requested a replacement of those 6 plates and all of the replacements were also scratched. They are going back, and I will be buying the next size up (9" luncheon plate) at Macy's, which has previously delivered perfect, scratch-free Fiestaware to me.
