First manufactured in 1936 during Art Deco's later, less ornate phase, Fiestaware went out of production in the 1970s, returned in the 1980s, and now enjoys unprecedented popularity. Older pieces fetch hundreds or even thousands of dollars at auctions. The new line offers the original designs in contemporary colors at affordable prices. With signature concentric rings around the rim, this persimmon, 12-by-9-inch oval serving bowl mixes and matches with other Fiestaware dinnerware. It can be used to serve candy and nuts as well as vegetables and mashed potatoes. Made of vitrified china with a gleaming, lead-free glaze, the bowl is dishwasher- and microwave-safe.
