Finally, a rolling pin that works!,

I've tried them all. The wooden rollers. The black 'non-stick' rollers. Flour, oil, bare hands, spinning tricks, aluminum presses, cold marble and dirty looks. Nothing gets dough flat without a fight... until now. This is the real deal folks... no sticking and no protests. The pin is well balanced, cleans up easily, and is just short enough to fit into my kitchen drawers with ease. It doesn't flex and puts dough right where I want it to. Despite the stiff price, it's worth every penny. The only downside is that the silicone surface does tend to pick up every bit of debris from your drawers and countertops, so make sure to wipe it off often.

We make a lot of bread, pie crust, pasta and pizza dough. We set out to find a no handle rolling pin like we always see on TV. We ran across the Fiesta even though it is a bit pricey we thought we would give it a try. Wow what a rolling pin. It has about same circumference and weight as our old wooden handle pin but much longer. We made a couple of pie crusts the other night and it rolled the dough like a charm (we did flour it). Just beware it doesn't fit in any of our drawers, we have to keep it in a cupboard with the baking supplies. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who bakes.

Tis rolling pin is everything an expert baker to even a novice could ask for. It handles dough very nicely and is very easy to clean with just the wipe of a damp cloth. This rolling pin is definitely worth the money!

Fantastic Rolling Pin,

This is the best rolling pin I have ever owned. It is light weight and my dough does not stick to the rolling pin surface. I had so much fun making my cookies this year, as this rolling pin made the work much more enjoyable. It did take a long time to ship, but was well worth the wait.

Has a pleasant feel to is, heavy enough, smooth, washable easily.
As expected, you still need some flour for the dough not to stick - depending on the dough.

I love this rolling pin. Great length for rolling out large batches of Christmas cookies. Weight is great and I love that there are no handles - I never actually used the handles on any of my other rolling pins. I keep it in the plastic box it came in to keep it clean between uses. Haven't tried it on bread dough yet, but it worked great on many different cookies.

My Favorite Pin of Four Types Owned,
By
This review is from: Fiesta Products Baker's Style Sil-pin Silicone Rolling Pin, Navy Blue (Kitchen)
I'm new to pastry making and have read about many types of rolling pins. While it was quite easy to find out through readings that the two pins my husband and I brought into our new marriage were below par, it wasn't quite as clear to discover through reading alone which type of roller was best. I needed to try different ones to see which I preferred and had the best results with while making different types of pastry crusts.
My old roller made of light wood with non turning handles was the worst. My husband's quality weighted wooden maple pin is nice, but applies a lot of weight - which isn't ideal in many situations. I really like my light weight, french tapered wooden roller, but I've found that the red silicon dowel type rolling pin that I found and bought from Williams & Sonoma works wonderfully. It requires only the slightest bit of flour to prevent dough from sticking. Much less than the wooden pins. This helps create a lighter, flakier crust. It's weight doesn't compress the dough, yet it rolls it out easily and evenly. It's great. Mine looks like this one, although I'm not sure if it was produced by Fiesta. Mine was from Williams Sonoma. Try one. I think you'll love it too.

Good pin but not non-stick for sugar cookies,

I make some sugar cookies whose dough is very sticky even after being refrigerated, and every year I have to find a rolling pin cover. I bought this rolling pin hoping to avoid that particular hassle. No such luck: had to flour the pin between each roll. That helped, but got a lot of flour into the cookies. However, I liked the shape and weight and no handles, so I put a rolling pin cover on it. Worked great. I'll keep it, probably get rid of one of my old ones. I'm not a pie crust maker, so can't speak to that.

This product was good for all of the christmas cookies that I bake. I was able to do large batches, and it cleans up nicely. I also used spacer rings with this product to get the precise thickness for a variety of cookies.

I'd been looking for a rolling pin that really works on heavy doughs and this one does! VERY Little sticking, easy to control. Where in the past I've had sore shoulders from forcing other doughs (from pizza to chocolate bread dough) with this one this and even is easy to achieve. Clean up is a snap! will last me a long time and worth every penny. One extra is the box is great for storing it as well!
