5.0 out of 5 stars handy for food as well as beverages
I have the jumbo mugs in several colors. Since Fiestaware is microwave safe, these mugs are a wonderful size for heating up a snack of leftover casserole or spaghetti. They're good for my morning hot oatmeal or my husband's cold cereal -- we tend to eat breakfast slumped on the couch as we try to wake up, and these cups are MUCH better than bowls for zombie...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great cups. . .don't like the color
I bought these cups because they are made in the USA and because of the size. By the name cinnabar I thought they would be more of a red red. . .and they are more of a pinkish red and so that was a disappointment. Rather than send them back I gave them to my daughter. . .who loves the color.

If you're a leftovers snacker or couch-lounging breakfaster like we are -- get two sets; you'll use them that often!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, Multipurpose, August 24, 2003

I have these and love them. I'm glad I didn't waste my time with some look-alikes I saw. These are the same quality as the rest of my Fiestaware and match perfectly. I use these for hot cocoa loaded down with marshallows, chili, soup, cereal. It's a bowl, it's a cup. The cup is heavy enough that it can sustain some abuse from daily use and keep you from getting burned by the hot stuff inside. I really love these cups!

5.0 out of 5 stars addictive, November 30, 2000

You simply cannot have too many of these cups. They are just the right size to store leftovers, to nuke a snack, to cook lots of things in single portions. They are fabulous soup bowls. They fit three-across in the front of the bottom rack of the dishwasher tipped up on the side, and tuck into the top rack easily. The handles are super, a good size, very useful when taking the cups out of the microwave. Get lots.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Color, April 25, 2002

I saw the red (cinnabar) color and immediately thought of my coffee, it would look wonderful against the red color of the mug. I hated the green cups that I have now, and really wanted a new set, so I asked for these for my birthday.

The cups came in today and the color is perfect, I LOVE them. It would have been nice if they came with saucers, but for a cup this large it would have been more like a small plate than a saucer. I can't wait to use them tonight after dinner.

Definately a two-handed mug. I am so excited.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shamrock rocks!, February 25, 2003

These mugs were gorgeous... nice and big to fill up with cocoa after being out in the snow! The color is beautiful - a little darker than the retired chartreuse - but they look wonderful with the cobalt, sunflower, plum, & turquoise I already have!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fiestaware Jumbo Mugs, November 25, 2001

Truly, these mugs are the best. I use them for microwave soup and hearty stews. They keep the liquids hot and are perfect for a large cappucino on Sunday mornings! For some folks, they might be too heavy for daily use. I like to keep one filled with my favorite cup of tea all day.

4.0 out of 5 stars perfect but just a bit too big, December 16, 2003
By A Customer
brilliant nicely shaped monster mugs. look great, but we still keep reaching for the old regular-style non-fiestaware mugs cause the jumbo ones are often just too much (and we live in texas, where oversized is always better). definitely agree with previous reviewer who wishes there were an in-between size from fiestaware. those little mugs with the pretty but useless ring handles don't work, and the wonderful jumbo mug is overkill for normal use. i'd vote for keeping the design, just scaling it down a bit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Oversized Cups For Casual Use, July 14, 2002

These cups are great for that giant cup of coffee you yearn for on a quiet Saturday morning, before you start in on that long list of chores for the day. I actually am more of a tea drinker, but these serve one well by helping to keep the beverage of choice warm. We have had a set of these along with a matching set of bowls for quite a while now, and they all look as good as when we first bought them.

That said, these jumbo Fiestaware cups are fun to use and everyone that gets some coffee in them raves about the size and the feel of the cups. They have the original Fiestaware's signature art deco design and bold palette, which is bolstered by the fact of the popularity of the oversized mug in the coffee craze of the last two decades. They also have an incredible 18-ounce capacity and so are ideal for either coffee, soup, or whatever! We simply love them, and I think you will too. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bowls/mugs for your favorite foods..., April 29, 2003
By A Customer
Anything that I like to eat or drink in large quantities (ice cream, hot cocoa, fruit salad) gets eaten from these bowls/mugs. They are very festive, good for chili or sundaes when you have company.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jumbo Mugs = Jumbo Enjoyment, September 5, 2002
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered the juniper colored mugs - what a treat! When I opened the box I couldn't believe how beautiful they were. They're perfect for both formal and casual use, and I love the way they match my other cobalt blue and cinnabar Fiestaware.

All in all - a great deal, a great product.
