5.0 out of 5 stars Fiestaware Turquoise 850 Sauceboat and Small Oval Platter Set review, July 19, 2008
Another excellent Fiestaware product. The Sauceboat is a magnificent size with a truly excellent capacity. It has good flow with just enough of a lip that the seemingly consistent drip after each pour that the person needs to catch is a rarity. The balance is good with the handle a good size, shape and weight. It can become a little heavy depending on how much you put into it, of course. The accompanying small oval platter did seem to be a bit odd. It is clear that it was not originally intended for the sauceboat, and is simply the platter closest in size to what the sauceboat would require. It is a little big for the sauceboat but in no way does it cause any problems. The sauceboat does work better with a platter and the small oval platter does suffice. The base of the sauceboat may not always sit evenly on the platter, both due to the possible uneven base of the sauceboat and the possible uneven face of the platter, however we have found this to be of no great significance. The color is good. It was a little more green than we had thought it would be. However it has fitted in well with the other fiestaware products we own. Overall, a good product that I would certainly recommend.

I love my sauceboat and platter. I'm thrilled. I love Fiestaware and have several pieces, so I wanted to keep it going. When you use them together, you don't have to worry about gravy spilling onto your table cloth. Mega China made it a great shopping experience.

I gave this to my daughter-in-law for Christmas and she was delighted with it. Her kitchen is tangerine color so I was glad to find this particular sauce boat.

Shipping was timely, and the color was true to the image on my computer. It matched the dishes from Pier One almost perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars great addition to my collection, June 10, 2010

The sauceboat arrived in a very short amount of time, and in perfect condition. The small oval platter is a little larger than I imagined, but it lends itself to other uses as a serving plate for small items.

4.0 out of 5 stars Having a party with fiestaware, November 14, 2005
My mom started my collection of Fiestaware for me, because I needed good dishes.

I decided to start with the Sea Mist and the Rose colors, because they won't be made after 2005, which will make them collectable in a few years.

The first sauceboat I recieved had a chip in it, I sent it back. The second one arrived with a flaw, but it seems that most fiestaware has at least some minor flaw in it. The biggest thing about fiestaware is it is heavy. If you have young children, it may be too heavy for them.

The rose color is a very dull color. That's either a good thing or a bad thing. If you want a vibrant color, I recomend the persimmon or the shamrock. The rose color is also very feminine looking. I personally prefer the brighter colors, but this is a good choice because of it's collectability. It won't be produced after November 2005.

The reason I am giving this piece four stars is because of it's tendancy to have flaws from the factory in the glaze. This is a trait across all fiestaware.
