5.0 out of 5 stars Sesame Street Fiesta Songs
We bought this CD along with the Fiesta video. The two are probably the most played and watched in our home. The only disappointment is that the CD doesn'thave the great performances by the legendary Celia Cruz and Linda Rondstadt. My favorite pics are "Respirar" sung by Elmo and "Fiesta" sung by Rosita, our favorite monster next to...

3.0 out of 5 stars I don't think it's great but my kid loves it!
Some of the accents are terrible and there is FAR more English than Spanish (the songs sung by Elmo and Rosita are a little painful to listen to!). BUT, my daughter (3) loves it. When our first copy was stolen out of our car, she asked for it so many times that I had to go out and get another one. Still, if you really want your child to be exposed to Spanish I think...

#1) I'm an adult
#2) I have no kids
#3) I love this CD.

Yes...it's FUN...and sometimes way too sickenly cute. Elmo singing spanish? Classics like "The people in your neighborhood".

I tell my friends that I'm trying to learn spanish...when in reality this CD is just as fun to listen to as just about anythign you'll find on the radio. Super sticky sweet, but not stupid and not condescending.

Oh, and if you *do* have kids....I'm sure it's even more fun.
Worth it....if you came to this page you're probably considering it...so get on with it...buy it already!

Spanish is defnitely my "second" language! With Fiesta Songs, I am learning some great basics and my daughter (age 3) is hearing spanish with her favorite characters--Elmo, the Count, Zoe, etc!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent children's intro to Spanish, August 26, 2004

This is a standard play in our home. My kids LOVE the way the character's repeat each Spanish sentence after Luis, Bob, Maria and the Muppets. The songs are catchy and infectious. We love to listen to this one in the afternoon, and after a lively session of sing along and dancing, it's off for naptime! Buy the video too, it's fun and festive and will give your little ones a taste of Spanish culture. A must have for every Elmo and Sesame Street fan!

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT SONGS!, May 17, 2004

Really fun -- my kids (4 & 6) love it! I love all the Sesame Street products - they are wonderful. My kids also love the "SING AND LEARN" CD by the Global Village Kids. These are bilingual nursery rhymes that they already know so it's easier for them to pick up words in Spanish. I highly recommend both -- much better than the so-called "educational" videos out there for getting your kids to learn a bit of Spanish (and have fun, too!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!!!, September 4, 2002

I used this CD when I taught elementary school Spanish. My students loved it and it helped them remember some of the phrases they were learning. My two year old son, who is being raised bilingual, loves it too.

5.0 out of 5 stars This CD is parent-friendly too!, May 28, 2001
This review is from: Fiesta Songs (Audio CD)
This CD is played the most in my house. I first checked it out from the library and went out to purchase it for myself almost immediately. Most children's music becomes annoying over time, but this CD seriously grows on you. I am only disappointed that the song, "Sing" was sung only in Spanish with only only line in English. It would have been better sung in English and Spanish. I plan on buying another Sesame Street CD soon because my son LOVES Elmo!

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!, February 7, 2003
This review is from: Fiesta Songs (Audio CD)
My son and I had been working with the same Baby Spanish CD since before he was born EVERYDAY and finally it bagan to get old. I wanted to find something we could alternate he is other cd with and found Fiesta Songs! It's great. It's a definativly bilingual approach in which spanish words and phrases are introduced into well known Sesame Street songs. The cd also comes with the words to all the songs in English and in Spanish. Elmo, the Count, Big Bird, Rosita, Maria, Luis, and others make this cd totally worth the money.

I wanted to write this review b/c my purchase was based on an online review. This is the best CD! We are trying to learn and teach our 3 boys (3, 2 & 2) Spanish. I listen to Fiesta Songs in the van even when they aren't with me! We've learned so many useful words and phrases, and the music is great. Me gusta!!
