Book Description

Warman's Companion: Fiesta August 11, 2006
The dinnerware that "turns your table into a celebration" is giving its collectors more than a few reasons to enjoy the party. "Fiesta" is a vibrant and authoritative guide collectors can turn to for quick pricing and identification assistance wherever they are. This guide to the bright and abundantly fun: shows collectors more than 500 detailed colour photos including many rare pieces, which aid in making accurate identification; covers history of the company that brought the party to dining room tables, and inspires collectors to follow the evolution of Fiesta Ware; and, arms collectors with current values and rarity ratings, to make savvy collecting decisions. For everyone who knows how fun dining can be, this book is a must have.

More About the Author

I am the former senior editor for antiques and collectibles books with Krause Publications in Iola, Wis. I conduct community events that involve appraisal of antiques, collectibles and decorative arts in the upper Midwest.

Since launching my Antique Appraisal Events in the summer of 2011, the response has been very gratifying. Libraries and historical societies from around the Midwest have embraced the concept and scheduled events, and institutions in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Upper Michigan have also expressed interest.

I have been a contributing editor for Antique Trader magazine. I also served as editor of Antique Review East magazine; as producer of Atlantique City, an antique show held twice a year at the Atlantic City, N.J., Convention Center; and as editorial director of F+W Publications' Antiques Group.

I am the author or co-author of more than 25 books on antiques and collectibles, including the 800-page annual Warman's Antiques & Collectibles Price Guide 2012, the 45th edition.

The 45th edition of Warman's Antiques & Collectibles Price Guide is better than ever, and brings a fresh, 21st-century perspective to the collecting world.

The list of auction houses features more than 70 businesses from coast to coast, covering hundreds of collecting categories. The number of consulting experts in various fields has also grown, and I've included new sections on both established and emerging collecting areas.

An important returning feature is a focus on the "Future of the Markets," advising collectors on where the experts are putting their money and why.

Great little book for Fiesta fans, this little book is easy to tote around to antique stores, the pictures are great and piecess are organized with suggested values and prices next to the pictures. I like it better than the Huxford book.

The book is is the perfect size for carrying around but the greens are different on every page so it's impossible to tell what is Medium green and the lighter green. If that is not an issue for you though, this book is great.

This is a very compact, nice sized book that you can take along with you. It's well written, is packed with information but the BEST part is that it is ORGANIZED so you find what you are looking for even when you are all excited about your new find! Excellent.
