After several listenings, this CD has keeps growing on me. There are several songs here that exude emotion and sensibility. This is one talented lady and deserves all the attention she gets in the US. This album, no doubt, will be considered a classic. (5 Stars)

Angelique Kidjo has succeeded in giving African Music a definite European feeling, she has re-inforced my belief that African Music is a Universal one. This is a good one coming from her, she should keep the flag flying.

I stumbled on this CD via a couple of cuts played on a local school radio station. I was so impressed that I bought the CD. I'm glad I did. I'm thrilled with it. The only reason that it doesn't get more airplay is that it has few English lyrics, and Americans are close-minded to anything they can't sing along with. This is an awesome CD!

I am definitely a fan of this artist, and own several of her discs. "Fifa" is one of my favorite songs. However, I bought the album "Oremi" first, and that is by far, my favorite album by her. I purchased "Fifa" recently, and could have lived without it, as the songs I liked from this CD are actually on her other albums.

Anjelique is so authentically rich in her cultural message. Her voice resonates with sincerity and glory in her work. She brings alive the beauty of her country and her people. What an ambassador of joy, love and spice...

Grace Jones in style but holding down her own in an African cultural flavor. The tracks where the percusion is heavy and the lyrics are chanty and rhythmic are the standouts. Her voice is soothing to listen to in the melodic Fon & Yoruba languages...
