5.0 out of 5 stars He Who Lives in Kashmir Knows Kashmir Best
It was after reading Professor Hassnain's book that I decided to go to Kashmir and see this "grave of Jesus" for myself. What began as a short excursion became almost a year in Kashmir and is now a lifetime passion. His evidence was so overwhelming and his reserach so thorough, that it draws one in. That is scholarship at its very finest.

I was hoping for a rigorous treatment of the subject, but the authors too often veer off into conjecture and reliance on sources that they have already proved inconsistent (e.g. the Bible) or otherwise known as complete nonsense (Aquarian Gospel ...). This review is from: The Fifth Gospel: New Evidence from the Tibetan, Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian and Urdu Sources About the Historical Life of Jesus Christ After the Crucifixion (Paperback)

I remained in Kashmir nearly a year. As I delved deeper and asked more questions, Professor Hassnain always made the time to help me, just as he had numerous other authors and researchers who came for the same reasons.
Each author, including myself, has acknowledged Professor Hassnain's contributions to their own research and books.

But the truth remains that without Professor Hassnain living in close proximity to the tomb, and having access to secret and unknown documents, the world would not have had much of this information in the first place.

This is a brave man, and a brilliant scholar. Now in his eighties, with white hair and a sparkle in his eye that never diminishes,he is a national treasure of Kashmir. We are blessed to have this book as a beacon for scholars past, present, and future.

This book is already a classic, referred to time and again.
I highly recommend it to anyone studying the history of Jews in Kashmir, and particularly the life of Jesus in India.

I was personally quite impressed with this book. It is a vast collection of information regarding the unknown life of Jesus before and after the crucifixion. Why is this information not accepted, in fact, hidden? I have no idea. However, it seems to me that this is some of the most vital and relevant information of the current age. It gives the perspective to give unity to the modern religions, Christian, Buddist, Hebrew and Islam.

While this book, or any other book on the subject of Christ, is open to interpretation, it provides another perspective for the reader. The information in the book is not new or earth shattering, but when seen through the authors eyes, helped me form a better opinion for myself. As with all informational books and subjects the onus of weighing the 'facts' presented is on the reader. Combined with other publications from this genre this book paints a clearer, more consise picture of the man (God) and the era.
It's a worthwhile book to read.

I was hoping for a rigorous treatment of the subject, but the authors too often veer off into conjecture and reliance on sources that they have already proved inconsistent (e.g. the Bible) or otherwise known as complete nonsense (Aquarian Gospel ...). DNA analysis of the remains from the grave of Yusu Asaph (purportedly Jesus Christ) will at most prove Jewish descent, not the identity of the person entombed therein. If compared against DNA retrieved from the other graves mentioned. e.g. Mary, Mary Magdalene, Moses, etc., the most that can be proved is possible familial relations in addition to ethnic origin.

Author Hassnain has considerable credentials but sometimes displays a typical Indian tendency to rely on quasi-religious explanations to various questions.

The book would be more convincing if it relied on hard facts to build its case.

If you are open and not closed minded, you will love this book. Can you
imagine Jesus being saved from the nasty cross and going on to teach other people in other lands? Well I can and it did not bother me. I
love Jesus because of his teachings, not because he supposedly saved me on the cross. That was Pauls doing. Both early Jews and Christians believed in reincarnation and it was in the original bible. So why would Jesus have to die to give us eternal life? We already have it. We all are part of the Creator and our souls are immortal. Jesus came down to teach us about love and kindness. Brotherhood and Sisterhood. That is the way to be saved from constant reincarnation and to get back to the creator. So this book is wonderful in that it shows what happened to Jesus after the cross and I have no problem with it.

Extremely well researched and accurate, this book provides excellent support for the book "Jesus Lived in India" which also supports the evidence that Jesus survived the crucifiction and lived the remainder of his life in India.

Book based on Good Research work. Lot of cultural research in the early Jewish Migration in the Kashmir area. I was more content with the Edgar Cayce (ARE Press)
book the Story of Jesus and Many Lives of Master

it is wonderful deliberating that th etruth comes out. also other books like Jesus The Book tell us about the time after cruxifiction. and books like The Lost Years of Jesus: Documentary Evidence of Jesus' 17-Year Journey to the East tell us about the times of jesus not told in bible. if we nunderstand now, that there might be a truth that wasn't told to us thorughcenturies, we are ready to enter this book and it shows us a story of the life of a holy man, how it truly happened.

This is a well written book done after years of research. I found the research to be reliable and believeable; the possiblity of Jesus not dying on the cross but going on to live out his life in private. Of course the church leaders wouldn't want this information to leak out, it would change the whole dynamics of religion and what they want people to believe!!!
