9 of 9 people found the following review helpful By Kenneth R. Dunn on May 3, 2000
This is a spectacular historical review of the 5th Infantry Division during it's push through Europe to Germany in WWII. It includes over 200 pages of detailed historical narrative for the movement and accomplishments of the 2nd, 10th and 11th Infantry Regiments and all the 5th division units as part of Patton's famed 3rd Army. There are hundreds of B&W photos. The Battle of the Bulge is given detailed attention as well. This is a must book for any family that had someone in the 5th Division in WWII.
