4.0 out of 5 stars Funny Film
This film is fun if your into, silly heroic macho type films, like me. Weller and hayes are good, nice to finally see hayes in something other than airplane. Sort of a light hearted action comedy. If you like watching the A-Team you'll probably like this.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wierd Action Flick
I didn't get to watch this movie start to finish, but I can tell you why there's so little about it. Two mercs agree, relucantly, to aid a guerilla force and the CIA to overthrow an Asian dictator. In the process, there are various bloody ambushes, and one of the fakest (hey, I might as well make up words, right?) "combat" scenes in history. In this scene,...

This is a really good film it has many good lines as well as a surprising cast. It is an oldy but a very enjoyable easy to follow film and one that I recommend highly. I saw it some years ago and was able to obtain a copy finally. Will be interested hearing other views.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fifty/Fifty is 100% fun!, April 18, 2009

This is one of Cannon's more fun and yet lesser known films. What starts out as a sort of buddy comedy eventually turns into a blast of an action film that is also part war drama.

Peter Weller (RoboCop) and Robert Hays (Airplane!) play well off one another, and make for convincing action stars.

The dvd is bare bones and it would've been nice to have at last a commentary track, but the movie is still very enjoyable. I highly recommend.

In this scene, there are only two guys (the protagonists) versus the evil dictator's entire bodyguard and a few armored cars. We get to watch millions of glitches including a one-shot grenade laucher firing four times (one after the other, clearly no reloading) and watch a submachine gun magically turn into a rifle. When one of the character falls five feet, a rubber prop gun bends in half. Pretty fake, huh? These two guys only get hit ONCE throughout a twenty minute scene, by the dictator (no wonder he's the dictator, he's the only one who can hit a barn door!). So, find an ex-marine, put in this movie and prepare for him to point out all of the errors!
