About the Author

Benjamin Myhre’s love of food and popular culture has culminated in a passion for Bacon and is the fire that sparked this book. While Ben loves Bacon, he also enjoys home canning, innovating his homemade pizzas and home brewing. Outside of cooking, Ben works in the technology industry, reads comic books, gets geeky about Star Wars, tries to make it to the gym to work off all the delicious food as well as blogging about popular culture on the internet. He lives in Fargo with his lovely wife, Ashley, his dog Charlie and three cats he lovingly calls “cat.” Jenna Johnson’s love of cooking, food, photography, and Bacon has helped her create a successful food blog called recipe-diaries.com. She is married to her wonderful husband Ben and two cute furball children Colin and Jerry Lee. Ben gets to sample all the recipes and ideas Jenna has created for her blog and sometimes the children do too. She resides in Fargo and met Ben Myhre through a friend, Ashley Myhre.

More About the Author

My objective is to live a full, happy life!

My love of food and popular culture has culminated in a passion for bacon AND chocolate and is the fire that sparked the books we have produced. While Ben loves Bacon and chocolate, he also enjoys home canning, innovating his homemade pizzas and home brewing. Outside of cooking, Ben works in the technology industry, reads comic books, gets geeky about Star Wars, tries to make it to the gym to work off all the delicious food and blogs about popular culture. He lives in Fargo with his lovely wife, Ashley, and three cats he lovingly calls "cat."

Whether I am working on my next book, sitting down to learn a bit of computer coding, blogging about popular culture on the internet, training to run my next half marathon, working on my next batch of home brew or devising whatever my next project is.... I am always expanding what I can bring to the tables I want to sit at.

Strength Finder: Ideation. Restorative. Strategic. Belief. Empathy.

I bought this as a joke for a man obsessed with meat who talks incessantly about the 50 shades phenomenon. The book is cute and has lots of recipes. I like the content. My issue is in the price. I was disappointed when I opened up a book thinner than my Good Housekeeping magazine. My daughter has thicker children's books. It is about a quarter inch thick (or less) with a flimsy paper cover. I guess I was expecting something sturdier for $25. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the book itself. The problem is with the price. I could see this book selling at $7.99, MAYBE $15 because of the name play and all the 50 shades propaganda it's riding off of. But $25...no way. Make sure you really want this book if you intend to buy it, because it is over priced. (which is a shame because it is a cute idea.)

I bought this for my stepmother for Christmas, thinking she'd get a good laugh out of it as well as some great recipes.

I could not have been more disappointed. For $20, I got what amounted to a kid's book sized cookbook, and the recipes themselves were lacking a lot of detail as to what went into the preparation of the particular dishes.

I mean, really? You need an entire page to tell me that to make Bacon Peanut Butter you blend cooked bacon and peanut butter together? Seriously? I think I could have figured that one out on my own, Sherlock. Thanks but no thanks.

It's the first time I've returned anything to Amazon in the past five years. I sent it back and got her the Game of Thrones cookbook instead.

I bought what I thought was a book as a wedding gift for a coworker and was extremely embarrassed when this little pamphlet arrived. The price, description, and photo led me to believe this was a book. This product is worth $5.00 or less, not $25.00. The only real Fifty Shades connection is a table of contents that lists appetizers as foreplay. I was very disappointed, to say the least.

Very disappointing compared to 50 shades of Chicken which was funny and excellent.

This is a few one page recipes without the humour, or the page count or the photos.

I say don't buy it! Buy 50 Shades of Chicken.

Do not buy this- I would award zero stars if possible! Low budget book with basic recipes and nothing to do with Fifty Shades Of Grey at all. No raunchy play on words like other recipe books of similar titles. The pictures and wording of these recipes is very basic and the entire book looks as though it was made from the authors home study. Waste of time and money, sorry!

Not only is this a wonderful cookbook about my love bacon, it was also a hilarious read. I recommend this to all foodies out there. I can't wait to try all the recipes. The husband is sold on bacon ice cream.

Unfortunately, it's not as fat as the bacon you're cooking.
I would never have known how to make bacon bits or a BLT.
