I read the first two books and was anxious to finish the trilogy. The kindle book I received was defective and I could not read the ending.

As I've said in my reviews of Book One and Book Two, this Trilogy was somewhat overrated. I bought all three books and read them, but found that they really weren't as the reviews made them out to be. Again, yes...this is listed as erotica, there's pornography, there's D/s, there's some romance thrown in. All the makings of what we girls love in our smutty novels. However, Fifty Shades was supposed to take us one step deeper, make us explore those things in our minds that we've always dreamt about, and, for some, become lost in that forbidden world, page by page. I found some chapters to be exciting to where I couldn't put the book down. Then there were times I found more chapters than not, that left me totally confused. In the end, the trilogy just became another romance novel. Some things were just plain fifty shades of all over the place, such as Christian's "secret" room. To me, it seemed to be portrayed (and I'm trying to read it from Anastasia's prospective) more of a scary dungeon of sorts. Given that Anastasia is new to this type of relationship, I expected it to be approached a little differently. Which brings me to the way Christian never seems to put Anastasia to ease....he tries at times, but not often. I've considered his background while writing this, and I understand the mystery and the avenue in which the author takes to pull together the D/s scenes. Christian has trouble understanding his role as a Dom himself. But more times than not, Anastasia seems scared, skittish and it's almost painful to see her in that emotional state of loving him, but not understanding his "secret world". It becomes a tug of war all through each book of this trilogy, leaving me a little disappointed.

I liked the book, liked, not loved. I find a million similarities with Twilight, just an adult version of it. The man feels a monster but she's not scared, she loves him unconditionally, he feels overprotecting with her who is instead super courageous and saves them both... etc etc. But it's a nice book to spend some time with

All three books, if it wasn't for the sex parts it would be a waste of time. After the first one, even the sex got a little old. As a writer E L will never make it. I had trouble finishing the third book.

I am an 80 year old and love to read anything and everything and this was not good at all. But I will say my daughter will be a little surprised when she sees my Kindle.

Please do not subscribe to this.
The whole idea is to appeal to ladies (and men) who are easily caught out.

Poorly written and badly conceptualized generic porn. It's like the Hunger Games of trashy romance novels. I am now dumber for having read it.
