Book Description

BEYOND 50 SHADES OF GREY...

Eighteen-year-old Alice is unhappy. Her boyfriend is nice and polite, but he's also quick and careless in bed, and doesn't give Alice the attention and variety she craves. But he's not entirely to blame, because Alice herself doesn't understand her own needs. She's heard about what sex is supposed to be like, but has never felt anything remotely close to what she's read about in runaway bestselling books.

BEYOND 9 1/2 WEEKS...

Then Alice follows a vibrating white rabbit down a deep, dark hole, which leads to a place beyond her wildest imagination. There are no nice boys--or girls--down here. Only those who indulge in secret, forbidden, kinky fantasies.

BEYOND PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES...

Alice is confused and frightened and... aroused. She is bound. Teased. Spanked. Toyed. Brought to the limits of sexual endurance. And during her trials, she begins to understand her body's needs for the very first time.

BEYOND THUNDERDOME...

This isn't the fairy tale you grew up reading. This isn't for children at all.

This is for those with dark desires, who wish to explore erotic excess beyond the plain vanilla of everyday life. Follow Alice down the rabbit hole, if you dare...

Fifty Shades of Alice in Wonderland is slightly longer than the Lewis Carroll version, roughly 32,000 words or 115 paper pages long. Melinda DuChamp is the pen name of bestselling author who has written over 50 novels, mostly romance.

Editorial Reviews

From the Author

ABOUT MELINDA DUCHAMP

I'm a professional author who has written more than fifty novels, most of them romances.

Recently, I began writing erotica under this pen name, beginning with Fifty Shades of Alice in Wonderland. I do my best to make my books playful and funny without taking away from the kinky, steamy love scenes.

Alice's journey of sexual discovery continues in Fifty Shades of Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Fifty Shades of Alice at the Hellfire Club (coming in fall of 2012.)

Question: Why do you use a pen name?

Answer: I have a wonderful family, but they don't need to know their daughter/mother/sister/cousin/aunt writes sexy stuff like this. Though I firmly believe fantasy is healthy, and sex is nothing to be embarrassed by or ashamed of, a pen name makes things easier.

Question: But I love your writing and want to read all of your other books!

Answer: Thank you! I'd love for you to read my other books, too! But for the time being, I'm keeping my identity a secret. I appreciate your understanding.

Question: Do you have a website, Facebook, or Twitter account?

Answer: I don't have a website yet, but readers are welcome to email me at melindaduchamp@gmail.com. I always love to hear what people think of my work!

Question: Will you be doing any more adult novels after the Alice trilogy?

Answer: I do plan on writing more fairytale-themed erotica. I had a lot of fun writing Alice, and am bursting with ideas for future projects. Feel free to contact me and let me know which fairytale you'd like me to spice up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Entertaining! July 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have to admit, I bought this because of the cover alone! I love the artwork.

I enjoy a good parody and this definitely succeeded in making me laugh and being sexy at the same time. Those that enjoy BDSM themed erotica probably don't find many books with a lot of humor involved which makes this something of an oddity. A good oddity though. :)

Don't be put off by the whole "Fifty Shades" and parody thing, this book really does deserve a chance.

Thanks for the read Ms. DuChamp!

2.0 out of 5 stars More a male fantasy than a female August 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I thought this was funny at about 25%, and then was ready to put it down by 45%, but I toiled on, dear reader, through all the sexual escapades, so that I could write a fair review for you. I'm a novelist myself, and I don't give only two stars lightly.

The book certainly has its hot moments, and following the "Alice" story is amusing. But it didn't work for me, and this is why.

*SPOILERS BELOW*

While "Fifty Shades of Alice in Wonderland" wants to make us laugh while showing a naive young thing discovering the joys of good sex, it's really more of a male fantasy. Once she goes down (ahem) the rabbit hole, Alice suddenly busts (oh my) out of her dress because her breasts get larger -- and we all know nothing else is more pleasing to a teenage girl than to be bigger in the boobs. She is given high-heeled leather boots, but is otherwise nude, and comes (ahem!) to really enjoy prancing around in them as everyone in Wonderland compliments her on how excellent her butt and legs look. When a strange biker guy gives her, among other things, a large black plastic dildo to suck on, she finds it so exciting that she nearly has an orgasm.

For real women, turning someone else on is certainly exciting, but sucking plastic not so much.

Finally, the porntastic fantasy of two men inside her at once is highly pleasing to Alice because she feels "completely full." I would bet she does. So full that it I don't think people do that much outside of porn world.

And the rainbow thing? So over that.

I get it -- it's a fantasy, and not to be taken literally. It's supposed to be funny.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot. July 25, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This story was hot as hell (read: not for kids), as well as well-written. There were lots of funny jokes to accompany erotic sex scenes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Steamy sex and laughter January 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Read the book in one day. I couldn't stop laughing. The sex scenes were good but what really made the book enjoyable were the moments when the author would pull you put off the book to make joke about the original Alice in wonderland book or a pop culture reference.

5.0 out of 5 stars Full of Meta and Hot as Hell July 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Ms DuChamp's hot, kinky romp through Wonderland is a quick read and a perfect Sunday afternoon distraction when one is trying to ignore one's children and the noise they're making. Turning the genre of Mommy Porn on its head, 'Fifty Shades of Alice in Wonderland' is full of sly cultural references and meta.

Everyone should read it. And by everyone, I mean everyone over the legal age of majority in your locale.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hilariously entertaining July 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
It took me about an hour to read this book. I was laughing in the first chapter. I couldn't help it. It's definitely NOT a childrens book. It's funny, erotic, and I won't ever look at Alice the same way again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't quite expect something quite this explicit... February 14, 2013
By jcat
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
But I give it 3-1/2 star rating because it was entertaining as well as steamy. Loved the cover. I've read Alice in Wonderland years and years ago (which was admittedly nothing like this), so now I believe I'll have to read 50 Shades of Grey just to see what everyone is talking about.

3.0 out of 5 stars Speechless January 13, 2013

Steamy, quirky, kinky, and humorous. I thought it would be cheesy but I couldn't stop reading because I was shocked at the twist in thus XXX story. I would read more story books like this, especially on a much needed break.
