My daughter signed up for Marlboro gifts at some time during her smoking life then left for England so the gifts ended up in my posession. This was the first thing that they sent and I couldn't believe that they were giving something of this calibre as a freebie.
The pictures are beautiful, the recipes are right down my alley as good basic southwestern cooking and everything I have tried has been excellent to good (the cyclone chili recipe is worth the price of the book). I have now collected all of the Marlboro cookbooks and they are the most prized books in my extensive collection.

I ended up having to buy a set for my daughter, who saw them and decided that I had stolen them from her even though I only got this one for free.

This is a great cook book for people that like to cook on the grill. Not just any grill, but a charcoal fueled grill. These recipes can easily be converted to be used on my ceramic grill. The recipes are what I would call 'manly man' and the book is full of 'meat 'n tater' recipes, i.e, Beef & Beer Stew, Steak & Eggs, Beef Barley Bake, stews, chili, biscuits, casserole, desserts, etc. Great scenic pictures from the west are throughout the book. I plan on buying a couple more for gifts.

My family still loves "wild card chili" from another old Marlboro cookbook, so I thought I'd give this a try. Good, hearty cooking recipes for people who work hard and need real food. We are enjoying cooking our way through this book, but may have a problem with portion control!.

This is a really terrific book! We gave it to a friend as part of a 50th birthday package. It was really a big hit! Great pix of every recipe; perfect for barbecues or summer get-togethers! Great seller, too!

I got this book as a gift and I love it. The recipes are not all healthy, but you can tweek them to reduce the calories. I bought it as a gift for my Mom because she loved so many of the recipes. It's a neat and fun book full of hearty and flavorful recipes!

Exceptionally designed, with great graphics and color - handsome. In addition, includes a set of recipe cards you can pull out from the center, and a humorous poster in old-timey colors!

Recipes I'd like to try include Big Ol' Mess, Coffee Can bread, fire water, chili pie with cornmeal crust, Line dancer chili, planked trout, outfitters stew, one shot pecan pie, three grain bread and tons more. REcommended.
