This is such a great way to get the essence of social media and networking. There are so many books out there that tell you what to do, and Melissa shares the inside strategy of social media. For example she expands on things like Focus, Listening and defining your goals. Sometimes we tend to forget about these basic elements. And Melissa puts it into the correct context. It calms you down to know that you are working social media correctly when you are implementing the basic rules. Great read as well as great reference book.

This book was recommended to me when I was given a new opportunity at work to head our social media marketing at work. I was fairly clueless about what I was doing, especially Twitter! The great, short, well-organized chapters are easy-to-read and give great advice and tips on how to make the most out of your social media marketing. One of the most important things I learned was focusing on quality, not quantity and NOT getting trapped in the numbers game. This is an excellent book for beginners in social media marketing, as well as those who are experienced and want to refresh and improve their methods.

I purchased this book to wrap my head around the social marketing world, which was overwhelming to me. With its short chapters, fun pictures and easy-to-follow advice, it really was a quick, helpful read that made social media much less daunting. In fact, I have now purchased it for two of my employees who are taking over the social marketing role at my company. I truly appreciate having a guide to help my team.

Author is full of it and call herself "world's leading experts" - I should have paid attention to that. The book is full of self glorification and so called tricks from early days. You're better off searching the web for social media than reading this g*****e. Save time and money, don't buy this book.
