But for the purposses of this review, ill break the rules.
Fight Club is a good fighter. There are so many moves. When a hit lands, YOU, feel it. There 3 types of fight technique to choose from. Brawler, martial arts, or wrestling.

I was very optimistic for this game. As someone who read the book and saw the movie several times I really thought in the right hands the game would be great. I was very optimistic for this game. As someone who read the book and saw the movie several times I really thought in the right hands the game would be great. To say that I was disapointed would be an understatement. Not only did the makers of the game ruin the source material, it's like they didn't even try. I could forgive the fact that they couldn't use Brad or Ed's likenesses in the game, I could forgive the horrible hard rock soundtrack that doesn't even fit into fight club, I could even forgive putting Fred Durst into the game. What they failed to do was to simply make a decent game. If you stripped away the whole Fight Club theme, all you would have would be a generic fighting game. I'm not picky when it comes to fighting games because I'm not very good at them, but this one is just boring. The characters are stiff and lifeless, it feels like a chore just to throw a punch.

To the designers credit, the game does have a pretty good online mode on XBox Live. The only problem is that the game is so boring you won't even attempt to play it. When I rented this game I gave it time, I tried to like it, but I just can't. I'm left wondering if this designers ever saw the movie or read the book, because if they did, they completely missed the point.

Rule #2, Dont talk about fight club.
But for the purposses of this review, ill break the rules.
Fight Club is a good fighter. There are so many moves. When a hit lands, YOU, feel it. There 3 types of fight technique to choose from. Brawler, martial arts, or wrestling.
The moves are hard hitting with blood running down your screen from the hits. Anything that can be done in a real fight, can be done here. As a quick example, if the guy your fighting getts his back to a window, and you bull rush him, you both will fly out the now broken window and fight in the parking lot.
again, if get someone backed up against a door, and you high kick them in the face, he'll fly out the door and land outside.
Now, if your fast enough to catch a blow thrown at you, slow motion will kick in automatic, and with your counter the victims body turns transparent and you see the point of impact and the bones breaking!! Really awesome.
But theres more as well.
it's not just fight and go. You have to be ready to fight the next fight. If your getting a beating real bad, you better tap out. Cause if you cant fight your next fight because your so beat up, or if you get a broken bone and cant fight, you'll lose status and wont be accepted into the club and wont take part in Operation Myhem. But if you tap out, you can your club points for fights won to get medical care and get back into the club circut.
theres also so much more i would recomend just getting this game. I own 14 games and i usally buy used, but im glad i got this new, its worth it.
Plus it's XBOX LIVE!!!

Please don't waste your time. I am so glad I rented this instead of buying it. It has a very very few shining moments, but for the most part it is BORING the same fighters with different colored hair. Great idea. Very poorly executed. Don't waste your money. If you are still curious rent it first. You'll be glad you did.

Fans of Fight Club Beware!
The first rule of this game is that you do not talk about it...seriously, please never mention this game. It sucked really really bad. I got it for $30 new, that same $30 would have bought a lot of dog poop and I would've gotten much more enjoyment from that.

It only takes one button to win a fight. I think it is the X button on the xbox game. To win the game it takes three button. Yes i won the game in 20 min. with X,A and B. My frinds came over with the game and I kick them out of my home. The more peple that hate on this "thing" the better.

2.0 out of 5 stars Did the Game Designer Even See the Film?, December 5, 2004
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fight Club (Xbox) (Video Game)
This game is horrible. I question whether the game designer has even seen the movie. Fight Club was a beautiful film with a story that could have become a great game, a la GTA 3. Tyler Durden leads Project Mayhem in the film in which all sorts of tasks have to be completed to destroy consumer society. "Fight Club is just the beggining" he says. Watch the movie and you will demand gameplay that allows you to destroy the trendy coffee shop, make bombs from liposucked fat, and intimidate the city mayor by threatening to remove his manhood. This game ignores all that and instead focuses on repetitive fighting. They had a chance to make greatly controversial game that would have blown GTA out of the water and they blew it. If you want a good fighting game, look elsewhere. If you want a game more like Fight Club should be, pick up GTA for $20 or get GTA San Andreas now on PS2 or wait for the X-Box release.

How could you destroy a revolutionary movie like Fight Club by making a game franchise out of it?! Disgusting!

5.0 out of 5 stars This game is sick, January 30, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fight Club (Xbox) (Video Game)
First off, **** everyones opinion. I like the game a lot, I know the graphics are a lot better than honestly 90% of other fighting games out there. The fighting system is very unique and extremely realistic, "the most brutal fighting game out there". They pretty much have the whole cast of fight club in the game, only problem is Tyler and "Jack" dont look like brad pitt and edward nortan from the movie but whatever, lets all cry about it. Storyline is okay, its not terrible.. it's just what else is there to explain? It's a game based off of a movie. It still has some storyline you dont know of, like the person who actually blew up the buildings at the end of the movie... it wasn't Tyler Durden ;). The custom soundtrack def. makes the game tons better because this game is just perfect for your own music, listen to Rage Against the Machine or any fight music you want, your choice. Just rent the game first, maybe you just wanna play some cheap tekken game instead... try the game out if you are interested in it like I was, personally, i think this game is the most ridiculous underrated fighting game of all time. I'd give the game a 9.5 hands down, I was really impressed
