Yes, there is no doubt in my mind. Every person in the Western world ought to have this book.
After reading the first few pages of it, I found that I could not put it down, other pressing duties notwithstanding.The author presents item after item, taken from the cobwebs of history and he opened the eyes of this observer who mistakenly had thought that nothing more could shock him. Some of the facts were complete news to me and I appreciate how the author succeeds in filling in the gaps, thus making the puzzle much more complete. For those who have not completed their metamorphosis into cynics, this is an opportunity. This well organised account of where we stand today, how we are being betrayed by our "leaders" and "guardians", how it is, after all, only money that rules, needs to be read not once but a few times, the shocking truth needs repeating if we are to believe it.
Even if you are not into history, this book will surprise you with facts that literally beg for more of your time, it reads more like a detective story than a documentary of modern man's shortcomings. And it is written for professional and layman alike, in a conversational tone that further emphasizes the serious message it conveys.
How lucky for the reader that the author is a born storyteller!

I have gone to the trouble of checking on the more preposterous sounding claims the author makes and found that he is not pulling anyone's leg, much as this would calm our budding indignation.

However, there are a couple of errors that need pointing out. One is a matter of my personal belief about the cholesterol story (he does not go far enough) we can agree to disagree on that.
The other is a matter of sloppy research and reporting.
Prince William IX of Hesse-Hanau, located in Bavaria.
The Germans never had a William, the Prince was a Landgrave and his name was Wilhelm, not William and Bavaria is located a fair distance from Hesse.

Other than that, it is an impressive work, it points out once again that governments have no social conscience and that they are not above working in cahoots with Big Business to the detriment of the people.

Whether the reader will still believe, after reading this book, that man is inherently good, is doubtful.

If you ever had any doubts about taking charge of your own health--this book will confirm that it is a must do! Chock full of information regarding prescription medicine, this book lets you know how you are probably being poisoned and how your physician is allowing it. There are three very important chapters regarding "statin" drugs (cholesterol-lowering) that you shouldn't miss. It is shocking what the FDA is allowing. While some of the pages can be skimmed over because they are so factual, most of it holds your attention because of the scare factor! The very first page grabbed me--the FDA is now funded by the drug companies.

Of course this book will have opposition -- it is standing up against the pharmaceutical companies, medical professionals, and investors who profit from keeping people sick and on drugs. But if society ignores this information or believes that it is merely conspiracy, they will be the ones to lose. Health choices are a freedom that Americans currently enjoy. However, scientific research backing effective nutritional options as well as other alternative health options is being heavily suppressed. "Fight for Your Health" explains why. The information in this book is backed by solid sources, much of it from the FDA itself. This is a MUST READ for anyone who cares about their health options as well as the health of generations to come. We must be informed, educated consumers -- that is the only way to make a difference.

After reading about the long term effects of some of the most popular drugs being prescribed by doctors today, it's frightening. People need to start taking charge of their health and not just blindly follow their doctors by taking medications because they are prescribed. Every person should read this book and try to find more natural ways to keep their bodies healthy.

'Fight for Your Health' is a must read for those of you concerned with maintaining optimal health by using supplemental nutrition in accecptable quantities. Big Pharma and the FDA have other plans to insure your costly and early demise.

Although this book confirms many of our suspicions that the FDA and the pharmaceutical companies have an unseemly relationship that does not result in the protection of the public, the author spends too much time dredging up well-known conspiracy theories. More than half of the book is taken up in explaining the relationship between the 'One-World-Government' and big industrialists. One can go to dozens of web sites to get that type of information without spending any money. When I started wading through Richards' past history of the conspirators, I was wondering how long it would take before he brought in the Illuminati, the Bilderbergers and the Jews. Lo and behold, the first two made their appearance on cue and I was pleasantly surprised that, for once, a conspiracy theorist left the Jews alone.

The chapters on specific derelicts of the FDA are quite good although the author does not reference his statements satisfactorily. He does give references on a chapter by chapter basis, but one has to find the relevant section of the book he refers to, by oneself. No numbered references are given.

For readers who are already in the 'One-World' conspiracy camp, this book will be a good addition to their collection. For those of us who believe that the pharmaceutical and many other big companies are often run by greedy individuals who are trying to make as much money for themselves as they can by using the protection rackets sanctioned by governments (in the guise of protecting the public), the health pickings in the book are much too slim.

Here is yet again an author who is sounding the warning bell. Trying to speak to us about the FDA, and the screw the people relationship the FDA has with "Big Pharma." In a word you have heard it all before, but many of you dismissed these warnings due to the origin.

This helps explain to us that the FDA is in the suppression game. Keeping any natural remedies from the public at large. Do not get me wrong, this is a worldwide efford as explained by this author. Though I must say this all sounds as though I have heard it all before.

Money Talks, and we the people are caught between big money, and dollar chasing Career Politicians. Guess who loses?

It is nearly a given when "Big Pharma" comes up with a new drug, or a variation of an existing durg, the FDA will give the green light, or look the other way when challenged. Examples the recent study that says vaccines loaded with mercury, have nothing to do with Autism. Who bankrolled the study? Or that Vioxx was really a safe drug. Even Ephedra which sickened a few people had to be removed from the market compared to Porzac which has killed many, many more. This is an example of the theme of this book. What big money wants, big money gets, and take a page out of the book of the tobacco industry, who for years just to protect prophits, claimed there is no definative link between bad health, heart disease, cancer, and smoking. So now there is no link between vaccines, and Autism. At the same time the study we "Big Pharma" financed positively says there is no true link. No there is no link between mercury in vaccines, and Autism. So ask the Amish why no one in their group suffers from Autism?

Many of those working as representatives of the FDA, also work for "Big Pharma," and say that does not mean there is a conflict of interest. You think? Then there are lobbists, and there again, many are former FDA officers, or former congressional or senate representatives. Now these same people who say we are here to serve the people are only looking for a fat paycheck. Serve the people--right. This kind of service we can do without.

If you or anyone else thinks we are getting a fair shake from either "Big Pharma," our elected representatives, or the FDA, read this book, and think again. Think about it the next time you are given a prescription by your doctor. Is this drug really safe, and effective?

Most everyone is familiar to at least some extent with the FDA and it may come as a surprise that this important agency is so seemingly indifferent to the public health. It wasn't always like this, but like Fight for Your Health points out, the degradation of the FDA has been a slow and steady process. Politicians and big business have joined together and gradually reduced this agency to nothing more than a political arm of pharmaceutical companies and medical professionals. Each scratches the others' backs; trading favors and making deals, all at the expense of the health of the nation's people.

The FDA is also becoming more and more lenient on drugs that earn its stamp of approval. As many are aware, the FDA has to approve a drug before it can be sold, and that includes both over the counter and prescription drugs. The requirements for approval used to be quite stringent and a drug that was deemed risky and detrimental to the public health was immediately denied approval. But this is yet another area where the FDA has become too relaxed and Fight for Your Health details several different instances where specific drugs have been permitted to be sold to the public even though the health risks are widely documented. But the FDA has stood by silently and allowed this atrocity to take place while investors, medical professionals, and politicians relax and count up their cash. Fight for Your Health presents many cases of health fraud while exposing the large government agency that is supposed to be fighting for the nation's good health. Instead of preventing illness, the FDA is actually creating it through its affiliation with drug companies, its refusal to consider natural remedies, and its give and take deals with politicians and business. It's enough to make one sick, and it shows how in the age of modern medicine, money talks and money corrupts more than ever before.

All I have to say is, every single American should read this book. This book shows the real truth behind the drugs we take.

The Food and Drug Administration was originally created to protect the citizens of the United States. It has now morphed into a marketing arm of the pharmaceutical industry. Byron Richards is a respected health professional and he does an outstanding job of exposing the sham that is the FDA & Big Pharma. From pharma's beginnings in Nazi Germany through their takeover of the FDA through political cronyism & corporate favors, this would be a great novel, but sadly it is true. Our health care (sick care) system is by far the largest,most expensive on the planet, yet Americans are far from the healthiest.
