5.0 out of 5 stars Faithful Descendants of Wing Chun, October 14, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Fighter's Edge, Levels 1 & 2: Tsun Jo Wing Chun Kung Fu (Paperback)
What is Wing Chun? Application or forms. Can all of Wing Chun be learned from Chi Sao? Perhaps. Is a punch a strike or a block? Yes. Are forms a modern addition to Wing Chun? Yes. Are all teachers alike? No. Do all teachers emphasize the same things? No. Do all teachers have the same experiences? No. If you want to learn to be the best fighter, period, find the best teachers, who are fighters. Form follows function. Application is everything, what you call it has little to do with anything. John Beall deserves his place next to the best in Wing Chun or any other Martial Arts as a world class teacher. Xiong Jiang Joh Tzu
