4.0 out of 5 stars Must-have for large aircraft enthusiasts, December 4, 2011

This review is from: Naval Fighters Number Twenty-Nine Martin Mars XPB2M-1R & JRM Flying Boats (Paperback)
This small book is full of detailed text and more significantly, lots of photos and illustrations of the Martin Mars flying boats, the largest ones ever operated (only the Howard Hughes Spruce Goose was bigger).

Happily, even though this book is out of print, it has for the most part been republished as part of the 2010 book "The Mightly Martin Mars" by Wayne Coulson and the original author Steve Ginter, also available from Amazon. Coulson is the current owner of these aircraft, and operates them as water bombers, fighting forest fires in Canada and California.
