This review is from: Fighting Back: Taekwondo for Women (Paperback)
I am not out to ever write bad reviews. I do not have enough money to buy books that are not worthwhile so I write this as a warning. The first thing is that I am not sure of the audience of the book. The self defense is rudimentary while the explanations would most likely be understood with someone that had knowledge of Tae Kwon-Do at least on an intermediate level. If there audience was for women looking for self defense then some of the explanations should not have used TKD terms but rather more general terms. If the audience is women in TKD then the defense and attacks should have been more TKD related. The real argument against this book is that many of the self defense is impractical and would most likely get one in more trouble. The wife tried some of these against me, to see if they worked, and she was unable to use them. The need for a book of TKD self defense for women is still needed and perhaps someone will write one but until then stay away from this book. One can find better information online and for free. Not much TKD and not much self defense.
