GEN Ent's Fighting on the Brink is a "must-buy" for anyone interested in the Korean War. It is well-researched and documented with an extensive footnote section, bibliography, and index. The documentation includes both official documentation and secondary sources. It has the "big" picture of the fighting during the period. The book contains the all-important maps necessary to understand military history. It also has an impressive collection of official and private photographs. The book is "personalized" by the extensive use of personal recollections of the fighting. The book is well-written editorially by a veteran of the fighting. In summary, the book is THE book to buy on the Pusan Perimeter. |
