Springboards into science series. Teaches 4-8 yr olds a Bettas' cycle of development and growth. Photos are vibrant, full-color and close-up. Text is straight-forward and easy-to-read. Male bettas fight to the death to protect their territory and build bubble nests to protect their young. They are beautiful and an excellent low maintenance family pet.
